Fans von klassischem Demerara, die trockene, dunkle Profile mit viel Holz, gerösteten Noten, Lakritz und Kaffee bei einem angenehmen, aber geschmacksintensiven Alkoholgehalt mögen.
Für alle, die süße, fruchtige oder leichte Rums bevorzugen oder die deutlich spürbare Holzbitternis und Tannine von sehr langer Reifung nicht mögen.

Wonderfully balanced 88 Enmore. Spices, toasty aromas, dried dark fruits. Slight sweetness, but nicely cushioned with licorice and some pencil. For 92/93 points lack a few percent ABV, but overall really succeeded and clearly above the TRC Enmore 88 as a similar comparison.

Already the sight of the red-brown rum in the glass raises expectations.The nose starts already phenomenal: candied dried fruit, rust aromas, wood and spice hold the balance wonderfully.This continues on the palate but with more emphasis on the barrel aromas and salty licorice joins.The finish is very long and again shifted a bit towards the barrel and tannins.This rum can not hide that he was 32 years in the barrel. The nicer that the typical Enmore profile is clearly recognizable. A rum for a whole evening!

I like better than the Nobilis and even a little better than the Rum Cask. On the nose dried fruit (raisin,fig), leather, spices and caramel. The barrel impact is not too dominant for the 33 years that the rum has on the hump. Dates, leather, licorice and coffee on the palate. As with the other two 88 Enmores, the ABV is rather low, but the intense flavors here compensate for that extremely well.

Sehr schöne Auswahl. Der Enmore der dunklen Seite der Macht 😁 Das ist übrigens auch seine Schwäche für mich. Das Fass hat diesen Rum am Ende zu sehr geprägt. Ich glaube, ich hätte ihn ein paar Jahre jünger bevorzugt. Aber das ist nur mein persönlicher Geschmack.

Very nice nose. Extremely well balanced. Palate is dryer with hints of smoke but it doesn't last very long. A strong release though 💪

Winner tonight, love the heavy/dark notes that wave from nose to finish. Dark fruits, leather, tobacco, mushrooms, roasted sugar. Very intense and yet well integrated with a long finish.

Sehr guter Tropfen. Super Gesamtkombo, die Volumenzahl lässt nichts vermissen. Er bringt eine schöne Balance mit, die sich sowohl in der Nase als auch im Mund vielfältig zeigt. Sehr lecker zu trinken.

A good Enmore on the bitter woody side! Either you like it or hate it! Actually zuvieL Fasseinschlag is not so mine, but in this case it still fits and it harmonizes with the dried fruits, coffee and leather! Nothing for every evening ... but very enjoyable!

A very well balanced and complex rum where the ABV is perfectly integrated. The barrel is most present on the palate and the fruits are really nice and go well with the licorice and coffee. I really like the light floral/herbal touch in there.

Classic profile of the 1988 Enmores, heavy dark fruits meet wood, leather and spice. Holds its own in direct comparison with other releases of the vintage very successfully, only the last tick of intensity is missing something for me.

Last of the sample. Very well balanced and the alcohol is incorporated very well. Nuts, spices and wood. Maybe misses a bit of a punch for palate lately, but nonetheless quite good.
