Foursquare ECS XX Isonomy 2005

Simply magnificent. The nose, alone, will entertain for hours. The palate is rich, dark, and complex with a long finish. Back up bottles are a must.

I cannot describe in details all that I taste when drinking rum. I can only assess a rum based on my own preferences. I enjoy pure rums with any additives and have tasted approximately 300 rums so far. My favorites are definitely from the Barbados profiles, especially from Foursquare Distillery, St. Nicholas Abbey and also Mount Gay. The FS Isonomy is simply the best rum I have tasted to date (from a 1 oz sample). I have since been looking to purchase this rum which is not available in Canada. On my way to New York City last week I finally got my hands on 4 bottles. Lucily I contacted the store owner and purchased those in January and asked him to set those aside for me to pick up in Mid-June. Thank you so much Norfolk Wine & Liquor in Dedham, CT!

Excellent, my second ecs foursquare & my forth over all. I was a bit dissappointed by the highly anitcipated 2008 expression. This one was by far my most pleasurable experience with any Bayan Rum I had

Eine betörende Nase, in der man Stunden verbringen könnte. Intensive Kokosnuss, Vanille, dann eine Patissierseite. Im Mund etwas komplexer mit Kokos, einer Patisserie-Seite, Schokolade und einem schönen Holzton. Sehr gut integrierter Alkohol. Eine sehr schöne Länge. Ein ausgezeichneter Rum.

Wow! Only second Foursquare and this is really fantastic. The balance of the juice and the barrel are perfect.

Diese Probe hat eine lange Reise hinter sich. Gleich zu Beginn: Ja, ein großartiger Rum, und ich hoffe, dass ich eine Flasche bekommen kann... Die Nase ist schön und gut abgerundet mit Holz, Minzschokolade und Trockenfrüchten, gefolgt von Vanille, Tabak und Leder.Der Gaumen ist komplex und gut ausbalanciert mit Eiche und getrockneten Früchten, gefolgt von Schokolade, Vanille, Karamell und Tabak.Der Abgang ist lang, intensiv und gut ausbalanciert zwischen Holz, Schokolade und getrockneten Früchten.Versuchen Sie, das leere Glas für eine Weile stehen zu lassen und schnuppern Sie noch einmal daran :-)

Ähnlich zum 2008er und deshalb genau so phänomenal. Sehr komplex und ausgewogen. Natürlich sind alle typischen FS-Aromen da, ob die zusätzlichen Jahre im Bourbon-Fass im Vergleich zum 2008er einen noch besseren Rum erzeugt haben, schwer zu sagen, aber was soll das. Insgesamt sehr gut, vor allem die leckere Ananas/Minznote an der Nase.

For me, it replaces Shibboleth and 2008 as the frontrunner in the series. The length of maturation has brought both more intensity and more balance. Wonderfully fruity, vanilla, deep dried fruit, sweetness, some barrel aroma. A stunner and worth the price in my opinion.

Sehr angenehmes Aroma mit Noten von Vanille, Schokolade und Trockenfrüchten, komplexer Geschmack, langer holziger Nachgeschmack. Ausgezeichnetes Trinkverhalten.

Verkostung dieses 17 Jahre alten Foursquare. Die holzigen und würzigen Noten zeigen sich deutlich in der Nase. Man nimmt deutlich den reich duftenden Melasse-Rum wahr, mit Aromen von Schokolade, Karamell, Vanille und einem angenehmen Hauch von Zitrusfrüchten. Ein schöner langer Abgang, leckerer und weniger trocken als der Shibboleth. Ein sehr guter Rum, den es zu entdecken gilt

Du gießt den Rum ins Glas und merkst schon dabei Foursquare. Vanille, Backaromen, tropische Früchte mit etwas Kokosnuss, das holzige alles schnell präsent und äußerst angenehm. Am Gaumen sehr weich und fein destilliert. Der lässt sich eigentlich viel zu schnell trinken. die tropischen Früchte geben hier einen schöne Präsenz aber schwimmen eher mit würzigen, holzigen Eindrücken mit. Etwas Zitrusfrucht Kommt nun durch und zieht auch in die Nase. Auch im Finish sehr weich und ausgeglichen. Vielleicht schon etwas zuviel aber es ist einfach toll geblendet. Die 17 Jahre tropische Reifung merkt man natürlich schon, da ist man vielleicht auch Mal am Zenit des guten Geschmacks aber wer weiß 🙂

Sehr schön ausgewogen, mehr Holz und Schokolade als Nobiliare. Nachgeschmack mit etwas Schokolade und Minze.

Fantastic ECS with an almost perfect balance. Very well matured, but not too dominant in the cask character, but also not too sweet but very warm and fruity, with great vanilla notes from the bourbon cask. In addition, dry, dark fruits that drift into chocolate and a wonderfully long, intense finish.
