A.H. Riise Royal Danish Navy Rum

7:Like most of the brand's rums, the nose is initially marked by fairly heavy notes of banana or very ripe pineapple. And as with most of these rums, these notes are very stealthy, followed by soft spices. We then get lots of cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg, like in a Christmas gingerbread. The sensation is very spicy and peppery. There's also a hint of vegetal, expressed through cola and a cigar leaf. Spices definitely dominate, but an oxidized wineiness flatters the nose. Aeration gives way to red fruits, and we imagine a sweet grenadine. The amarena cherry is there, in the form of tangy candy. The fruity aspect that follows is rather surprising given the overall profile: raspberry jam takes us towards the creaminess of the goy ave, which contrasts with the candy side. 5,8:On the palate, spices fly in all directions, joined by coffee. One almost forgets that this is a cane spirit, but the molasses is now present. It's black and licorice-like. As on the nose, there's an oxidized wineiness that, combined with the prune, is rather gourmand. Chocolate ranks alongside all this greediness. 5:The finish is very sweet, the prune swollen and candied.

Der erste Rum, durch den ich mich in den Rum verliebt habe. Er ist schwer, süß und fruchtig (hauptsächlich Orange und Rosinen). Die meisten Rum-Liebhaber hassen A.H. Riise für seine Süße, aber um ehrlich zu sein, wenn mich jemand fragt, wie der Rum eines Seemanns schmecken sollte, würde ich als erstes sagen - süß und schwer, als ob man ein Brot trinken würde.

Bernsteinfarben. In der Nase Gewürze, holzige Noten gemischt mit starker süße. Der Geschmack dann auch nach Holz, Mandeln, Gewürzen und sehr süß. Für mich ähnlich zum Royal Danish Navy Frigatte Jylland

süsser, karamelisierter Geschmack - leichter Abgang

A tasting from december 2018. Back then, this was okay for me, but today it would be way too sweet. And it would not be called rum today. It is sweet and a bit spicy in the nose, and very sweet in the taste, with notes of candied apples and some spice.

Ein ausgesprochen süßer Rum mit dem Geschmack von tropischen Früchten. Sehr gut

Viel zu Süß

Süßer, fruchtiger Riise der sich durch die Schokonoten von seinen noch fruchtigeren Brüdern unterscheidet.

Sehr künstlich anmutender Rum. Süß, leicht fruchtig, irgendwie röstig nussig und winterlich würzig. Nicht unterirdisch, aber auch nicht gut.

Very good, rich but still easy sipping rum with character 🔝 Nose: very rich and caramel 👍 Maybe some light mint hints in the back ... Body: full-rounded liqueurish body that confirms the nose - way too sweet for my taste 🤷‍♂️ Finish: long and sweet - again not my favourite cup of tea... All in all, rum for the "rookies" and advanced rum lovers ☝️

Der Riise Navy Rum ist toll in der Nase und das war’s leider auch. Sehr sehr süß mit vergorenen Fruchtaromen im Geschmack, dazu leicht künstliche Noten, die nicht gut mit der Süße harmonieren. Die Riise Rums und ich passen leider einfach nicht zusammen. Der Standard Navy-Rum schneidet dabei auch noch am schlechtesten ab.

Sehr schöner Süßrum. Gefühlt etwas weniger würzig als andere Riise, wodurch die Süße noch mehr durchkommt. Die starken Pfirsicharomen in der Nase nehmen im Geschmack etwas ab, wodurch der Rum etwas an Eigenheit und damit Charakter verliert. Nicht der beste, aber ein guter Riise.

Sehr süß mit künstlichen Aromen von Orange, Karamell, Kuchenteig.

Kandierte Orangen, Rosinen, Zuckerwatte, versteckte eingekochte gelbe Pflaumen, ein paar weihnachtliche Gewürze... ...weich, gar richtig cremig im Mund aber nicht wässrig, hat Volumen, die 40% passen gut, die Nase wiederholt sich + etwas Vollmilchschoki... ...mittellang, etwas Holz ist zu erahnen, die Gewürze werden etwas kräftiger und herber und es bleib süüüß. Gefährlich süffig, der geht runter wie Öl. Ist zwar recht einfach gestrickt, gefällt mir trotzdem.
