Vanilla, fruits, toasted coconut. Sweet fruits on the front and dry spices with nutty vanilla on the finish. Big flavors. Excellent rum.

Fantastic rum not as sweet as expected

Blumig, süß, etwas Klebstoff, Banane und Ananas. Mild und süffig im Geruch, leicht und angenehm. Im Mund dann etwas dünn, aber mit zwei klar definierten Seiten. Süß und blumig im Antrunk, danach setzen sich die esterigen Aromen recht mittig klar ab. Ein scharfer Wechsel, und ich denke genau hier glättet die Dosage honigartig ab. Gefällt mir sehr - allerdings habe ich keinen Vergleich zu anderen Fijis. Nachtrag: nach querbeet etwas mehr Fiji wirkt er doch relativ blass in der Charakteristik. Bleibt aber ein ganz guter Einstieg.

Sauber den Zucker eingestellt. So das er nicht zu dominant ist. 16g passen echt gut. Interessante Töne von Banane mit Blüten mit angenehmer vanille. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Gefällt mir sehr gut

Der Geruch ist fruchtig, mit Klebstoff und Esteranteilen. Auch würzig und Holzig, etwas süß und leicht Funky-Dreckig. Der Geschmack ist etwas süß, fruchtig-würzig mit etwas Alkohol und Rauch.

Alkoholisch, etwas flach, wenig Dimensionen. Etwas fruchtig und leicht. Plantation 20XO besser.

8:On the nose it is quite punchy and vanilla. Lots and lots of dark treacly molasses notes jump straight out at you, a bit of caramel then. There is a sweeter, more perfumed note but it’s little fierce as well, varnish. After a little time in the glass some fruitier notes arise, fermented, overripe notes, even rotten, canned with passion fruit, banana, ripe pears, plum and some currants. There is a smokiness as well.The nose is really impressive and balanced. 7,8:On the palate the rum is not as powerful as the nose suggested, but is well round. The fruitier notes are not that strong, not overripe, banana is fresh. It has a sweetener note, it is spicy with some baking spices. On the mid palate, we get some punchy and roasted notes of burnt banana, ginger and a honey, minimal bitterness present. 7,3:The finish is medium. It fades quite quickly, is fruity, spice, some overripe notes, a bit dry and acidic, that sweetener note stays.

The nose reminds me of a mid to high ester Jamaican in many ways. Lots of gluey solvent notes, heavy on the banana and floral notes. A touch sharp. The palate is not as floral and the nose let's on. Some honey, still lots of solvents. A touch of smoke on the back end. The finish is very short. But pleasant in its tropical flavours. Honey and coconut mainly. Overall not a bad rum. Works well sipped neat on a hot day.

Ziemlich süßer Rum... aber angenehm zu trinken. Schmeckt besser als er riecht. Honig, Vanille und Pflaume... etwas Kokosnuss. Ziemlich gut für den Preis.

Light good Fiji without frills

Sehr dünner, verdünnter, süßer täglicher Schluck. Gepaart mit einigen schönen Noten von verschiedenen Früchten. Es ist ein guter, vor allem für Anfänger.

In der Nase eher schlicht und wenig komplex. Am Gaumen Vanille, Honig, Kokos und tropische Früchte. Für den Profigaumen zu süß, flach und dünn. Ich finde ihn süffig, leicht und lecker. Sicher keine Geschmacksexplosion aber ein solider Süßrum.

Ein Fiji Rum von Plantation der dem typischen Profil dieser Insel folgt, indem fruchtige Ester im Vordergrund liegen. Durch das Cognagfass aber auch recht mild und vanillig. Natürlich auch etwas nachgesüßt.
