Maison Ferrand is the cognac house behind the Plantation range, now rebranded Planteray. Rums are sourced across the Caribbean and the Pacific — Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad, Fiji, Guatemala and Belize among them — then shipped to Charente for a second maturation in ex-cognac casks, a technique Ferrand calls double ageing. That house style leans smooth, vanilla-forward and often sweetened, which draws a clear line through the reviews.
