Oldman Spirits runs two very different lines. The Flensburg Rum Company label handles the serious end — single casks from Hampden, New Yarmouth, Enmore, Versailles and Trinidad Distillers, usually bottled at cask strength and often tropically aged. These are the releases the RumX crowd chases, with several sitting near 8.7–9.0/10. The nose-to-glass detail in the reviews (barnyard funk, pencil shavings, mint, burnt caramel) tells you these are picked for character, not polish.

The Spirits of Old Man line is the opposite: sweet, coconut-heavy, entry-level rum that a couple of members flag as closer to spiced or liqueur territory. Two clearly separate audiences, one company.
