This Danish outfit built its name on intensity. The Wild Series and Collectors Series lean into high-ester Jamaicans, Demerara stills, Fijian pot rum and experiments like the White Alligator — a three-year rum matured in a maximally charred cask that several drinkers mistook for a much older Savanna Grand Arôme. Bottling strengths run high, occasionally to the extreme (one German Rumfest release hit 85%), and the back labels are dense with fermentation, still and maturation detail.

The community response is warm but not uncritical. The picks that land — a 2002 TDL, a Long Pond, Hampden HGML — draw real enthusiasm. The picks that don’t, usually wine finishes or overly woody young rums, get called out just as plainly.
