Rum Artesanal is the independent bottling arm of Heinz Eggert GmbH, a German outfit that buys rare casks from across the rum world and puts them out non-chill-filtered, without added color, usually at cask strength. The range runs from an accessible Core Range spanning Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Panama and Venezuela to the Single Cask line that most people here chase: aged bottlings from Hampden, Clarendon, New Yarmouth, Uitvlugt, Enmore, Savanna and closed distilleries.

Across 4466 reviews the community sits at a median of 8.5/10, and the older single casks push well past that. A 1994 New Yarmouth is called a reference point by several tasters; the 1994 Enmore REV and 35-year Hampden HGML draw some of the warmest notes on the site.

The Rum Artesanal lineup compared

Which bottling is the better one is decided neither by price nor by the age on the label. Here they stand side by side, sorted by the community's median rating. The number of ratings sits next to it: a high score from few voices says less than a middling one from many.
