Founded in 1884 on the banks of the Albert River in Queensland, Beenleigh is Australia’s oldest registered distillery. For most of its life it made rum for the domestic market, but over the past decade independent bottlers picked up its aged single estate rum and introduced it to a wider audience. That’s how most enthusiasts first tasted it — through a Velier, Rum Artesanal or RumClub release rather than an official bottle.
