Grays is one of Mauritius’s biggest rum producers, and the source behind a longer list of labels than most drinkers realize. If you’ve had New Grove, Arcane, Lazy Dodo or the Ian Burrell/Richard Seale collaboration Equiano, you’ve had Grays distillate. The house works mainly from molasses on column stills, then leans hard into cask maturation in the tropical Mauritian climate.
