Gifting rum without missing the mark

Most rum gifts fail not because the bottle is bad but because it doesn’t fit the person: the collector gets the sugared starter classic, the newcomer the 63 percent ester bomb. So the finder doesn’t ask about rum knowledge, it asks about the person. How well do they know rum, what do they usually like to drink, how much may the bottle cost. Three answers are enough, and “I don’t know” is always allowed.

The suggestions come from a curated gift shelf: bottles with at least 100 ratings in the RumX community, rated 7 out of 10 or better on average and deliverable to your country today. Every bottle says why it fits, how it tastes and what might speak against it. We never loosen budget or delivery country.
