Romdeluxe DDL Wild Series Rum Enmore No. 15 MEC 1988
"A very well balanced rum with good ABV integration," as one taster put it — this is a heavy, dark old Enmore from the wooden pot still. Expect wood, leather, tobacco, licorice and dried fruit, plus a smoky, burnt-sugar edge that some love and some find too dominant. Complex, long finish, best on a cold winter evening. A drop of water tames the char.

How does Romdeluxe DDL Wild Series Rum Enmore No. 15 MEC 1988 taste?
Aggregated from 20 community reviews.
Heavy old Demerara, smoky and wood-driven Loved for its heavy, complex wood-leather-spice profile and long finish. The recurring catch: the smoky, burnt note runs a touch too hot for several tasters, or scores would climb higher.

06.11.2021 Another visit to "Den Danske Rom & Whiskyfestival and once again with special access and many very drunk people both days. Notes. Another secret mini bottle came out of nowhere and we all liked it. A very well balanced rum with good ABV integration. Medium fruity with light caramel and a vegetal touch. The palate is oily and has nice chocolate and a light smoky note. The finish is long and woody with a light minty note. This was the end of day 2.

This is a very heavy, dark Enmore. I can imagine drinking it in winter on a nice cold evening. The long ageing is already clearly evident in the cask aroma, but it's still just okay. The alcohol is barely perceptible. Overall, a finely balanced Enmore. I like it.

Review by Jakob
Nice heavy demerara profile, unfortunately a bit too smoky for me on the palate for the otherwise delicate aromatics of heavy dried fruit, licorice, leather, balanced spices and wood.
Review by Mentalo
komplexer Rum mit toller Nase. Viel Holz, Leder, Gewürze, Lakritz, Kräuter und etwas Frucht. Langer Abgang.
