17.07.2021 On an extended weekend with my family and brought some samples to enjoy in the dunes. Notes Light in colour. Nose Light wood, fresh, sugarcane, light grass, light apple, light roasted, floral. Palate Wood, light roasted, apple, light floral, light herbs, faint honey, light dried fruit, Agricole. Finish Medium to long, wood, medium dry, light spicy, herbs, dried fruit, light floral.
Well, for me, a great agricole. Surprisingly, I didn't expect it. It's sweet and lovely, and it smells like a classic martinique. It's not aggressive on the palate, perfectly integrated alcohol, fruit and glue notes. And a longer, warming finish.
In a word, I would say agricole - this is what I imagine a rum of this type should taste like. For me, yummy, I like it. Lots of citrus/fruit in the aroma, which transitions to a bit of medicinal disinfectant. In the taste I feel similar, the rum isn't sweet but the fruity sweet notes of sugar cane go into dryness, a bit of woodiness to techy again. 59% I don't find it overpowers the flavour of the rum this time and it doesn't taste like cough drops either.
