Rhum J.M 2009
Oak leads here, backed by nougat, caramel and a flash of cinnamon and bitter cocoa. This 10-year agricole from Rhum J.M leans firmly woody, with light fruit and a grassy edge underneath. Several tasters love the nose — layered and inviting — but note the palate turns quite oak-forward, and at 42.3% the finish stays a touch short. A few drops of water tame the tannins nicely.
- Complex nose
- Rounded palate
- Aged agricole character

How does Rhum J.M 2009 taste?
Aggregated from 37 community reviews.
Woody, oak-forward aged Martinique agricole Well-liked for its balanced, complex nose and rounded wood-and-caramel palate. The common gripe: it drinks heavy on oak, and the finish runs a little short for the style.

Not very interesting on the nose but reveals great flavours on the palate

I definetly love J.M profiles. Quite close to the Kirsch Whisky release which is quite impressive for a middle range rum.
Review by Maxime Clr 🇫🇷
Great nose, palate too woody and not at the level of the nose. Length too short, but that's probably due to its 42.3%.
Review by Johannes
Nice complexity, rather woody, somewhat lacking in fruit.
