Vacation Canada & Jamaica September 2025. Oh man, after the Great House 2025 drinking this rum is really hard. Nice mixer, like all Jamaica Overproofs. Anyway, here we have citrus fruits, especially lemon and lime.

2025 First impression: oops, did I mix up the bottles in the chemistry lab? Nose: lacquer, acetone, esters, behind that pineapple and banana, dissipated from the glass after 15 minutes Palate: sharp, esters, tropical fruits, fresh and warm at the same time, slightly salty after 15 minutes Finish: long, sharpness fading soon Overall impression: I once brought a bottle from Jamaica around 2018, where J.B. and Wray & Nephew are the most popular street overproofs. Back then I didn't really understand overproof and funk. J.B. stands for "Johncrow Butty," which means vulture ass and actually refers to a lower quality mainly from heads and tails. Today I would prefer J.B. W&N, especially because the esters are so present here.

This bottle definitely tastes like a Hampden done for the locals , like a rum fire but with more burn and less filtration .. the locals of the parish love it and I can see why ..
