Poured neat, this drinks as an easy sipper — the 52% is well-tucked in, so it goes down smoothly without heat. Expect the classic Belize/Travellers ex-bourbon signature: coconut, caramel, vanilla and a touch of chocolate, with mild pepper and a little dried apricot and raisin. A few tasters wished for more punch, calling it rounded but "a bit flat," yet most found it a genuinely pleasant "daily dram."

Today I tasted 20 budget single casks rums. I start to feel, that if the rum is weak, the bottler just put it in ex-bourbon, pineau, strong sour wine cask to give it at least any taste. I preffer rum taste, even if the profile is weak...rather than sour taste of ex-wine cask. And this rum has definitely not weak profile. But is overhelmed by strong taste of cask.

Very pleasing Travellers. The reduced alcohol strength provides accessibility here, the typical flavors for classic rums from ex-bourbon barrel aging and thus also of Travellers rums strike through here virtually exemplary: Caramel, vanilla, coconut and a hint of chocolate, plus some coffee, yellow fruit and subtle spiciness from mild pepper.

I have ordered all the 15 year anniversary versions and now I know that was a good choice. Wood and vanilla from nose to finish, something I really like. Then there's chocolate and caramel in a nice mix with raisins. A pretty well balanced rum.

At first very reserved on the nose. Coconut, caramel and roasted nuts can be detected. Then come spices and chocolate. On the palate no real surprises, classic Belize profile. Finish relatively short. Overall a solid traveller.

Well-made and above all well-diluted Belize 2006 from The Nectar. The dilution brings out all the flavors perfectly without being too thin, resulting in a really pleasant easy sipping rum. Coconut caramel chocolate cookies, cappuccino and green pepper, as well as dried fruits such as apricot, raisins and prunes. You can definitely make it!

If you want to fault the rums of the Travellers Distillery, it's that they mostly resemble each other, albeit at a high level. This bottling for the 15th anniversary of “The Nectar” is very round and has a pleasant drinking strength, making it ideal to get to know the basic profile of the distillery. Tasty and incredibly drinkable!

Once again a very nice bottling. Very fruity and sweet on the nose. On the palate then a bit spicier. A bit more ABV definitely wouldn't hurt here. Maybe it's also because the alcohol is well integrated and everything becomes a round thing. The finish then becomes a bit bitter. Highly recommended.

Silver RFC 2024 advent calendar. I have a tip that this is one of the best Belize rums, and I must say I’m not disappointed. Sweet heavy nose with notes of chocolate, coconut and vanilla. Taste-wise very balanced and smooth rum, which besides the expected notes surprises with a cappuccino finish.
