Aroma visualization from community tastings
The Duchess Worthy Park Jamaica 2006
Sipped neat, this is a drier, more mineral Worthy Park than most — banana and pineapple sit next to light oak, honey and a faint smoke, with a warm, slightly astringent finish. At 57.9% it needs a little air or a drop of water. One taster found it "different" enough to be worth owning, while a couple missed the big ester punch. Not a mixer.
The community says- Ripe banana notes
- Long warm finish
- But: Light on esters

10.08.2019 Nice get together with friends at my place. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, faint smoke, banana, overripe, light mint, faint olive. Palate Oily, light roasted wood, light caramel, pineapple, banana, light anise, earthy. Finish Long, naturally sweet, fruity, faint chocolate, light tea.

Dobrý, rum, ale rozhodně znám lepší Jamaiky, nezaujalo příliš. Celkem dlouhý závěr, ale něco mi tam chybí

On the nose, I would have guessed the WPL brand, but the long-lasting aftertaste with its slight astringency makes me lean towards the WPM brand. But ultimately it doesn't matter, because it's the overall package that counts and in this case it's really successful. The typical aromas of the distillery are present and are suitably complemented by the woodiness, which is not dominant but certainly respectable. A fine thing!

Obvykle mluvím o typických chutích a vůních jamaicy.

Read full review →Certainly one which a Worthy Park fan would certainly appreciate. It is "different" enough to warrant a purchase should you be seeking something slightly different. This is, as I have mentioned earlier, a slightly drier and I would say more "mineral-ey" type of rum than many Worthy Park's out there....
