Richland Rum Single Estate Old South Georgia Rum (Romhatten Cask #2) 2011
Most tasters land in the same spot: a genuinely good cask-strength pour that several blind-guessed as a Foursquare from Barbados, just with a touch more sweetness. Expect chocolate, pecan, raisin and roasted cranberry, with the 62% buried well. The recurring knock is that it's well-made but "wenig innovativ" — tasty without leaving a lasting impression.
- Alcohol well integrated
- Chocolate and pecan
- Dried fruit depth

Klingt schon mal sehr gut…

A real nice discovery of this distillery, thanks Jonas. The profile is greedy (chocolate, nuts) with a nice concentration. The alcohol is super integrated, I would not have guessed the 62 if it was not written. In short, it is a very good rum of this profile.

richland aus den USA. 9 Jahre tropisch (?) gereift? Fassstark. Wow, suprise suprise. möchte man meinen. Für weitere Ausührungen müssten Aroma Detectives ala Frank_N her. Lecker, leider wenig innovativ.

Pleasing, but without that certain something...

Very relaxed rum despite the >62Abv, lots of molasses, dried fruit and hints of chocolate. Neat and balanced, but without lasting impression.
