La Favorite Coeur de Canne
One taster called this "un concentré de ti-punch" — and that fits. It's a young amber agricole from La Favorite: fresh cane and citrus on the nose, then a drier, earthier palate with light wood, pepper and a touch of vanilla. A few find it a bit watery and short; most see a well-priced, easygoing agricole caught between white and aged.

- Great in ti-punch
- Keep in mind: Slightly watery palate

How does La Favorite Coeur de Canne taste?
From community reviews · summarized with AI
Young amber agricole, cane-forward and peppery Well-liked young Martinique agricole: fresh cane, citrus and light spice up front, earthy oak behind. Some call the palate thin and the finish short, but good value overall.

The nose is inviting and the scent of apricot is dominant, followed by floral notes. The taste is floral with a pleasant spiciness and the fruity notes fade into the background. The finish is long with earthy, woody and grassy flavors on the palate. This Rhum Agricole is dry and is suitable as an aperitif or digestif. Highly recommended as a ti-punch 🥃. The lime brings a very lemony and exotic scent to the nose. The taste is peppery with a pleasant sharpness, slightly sweet and exotic. really good.

After being kicked out of the app twice again, I'll try to rate it. Some vanilla, agricole and wood on the nose. On the palate, it's predominantly woody for me, but vanilla, sugar cane and pepper are recognizable here.

#5202 05.04.2025 Running through some samples at home. Nose Lightly sweet, light wood, Agricole, sugarcane, fruity, light citrus, spice. Palate Round, fresh, light wood, light tannins, spice, fruits, sugarcane, light spicy, light floral Finish Medium long, round, fruits, light vegetal, sugarcane, light floral, spice. Empty glass Light honey, light floral, sugarcane, faint chocolate, vanilla. Needs to rest for a while to settle properly.

Tasting at J. B. Labat. A light nose on the cigar box (cedar and tobacco), herbs and an earthy side. The palate is too watery, still the notes of cigar box, macerated herbs and an earthy/rooty side. The finish is way too short.
Review by Morgan Garet
Beautiful amber, very fruity, especially on citrus. Also a floral/fresh side. The sugar cane is well present with some light spices.

Another nice discovery. Nose: sugarcane, vegetal, fresh and lemony, a bit like a concentrated ti-punch. Palate: quite different from the nose, more "earthy" and woody. Finish: average. Rum still quite "young", a middle ground between good white agricole rums and old ones. But good value for money!

Now that I've tasted it well, it's a good Martinique different from the usual ones, it almost seems watered down, damp, almost smells like condensation.

Okay, nothing special. Rum to shoot.
Review by Christophe Milot
The color of this rum, between golden and translucent, reveals it: it is not a white rum but an amber rum from a short maturation period of two years. Aging was done in oak casks. It is one of the latest creations from Maison La Favorite, this artisanal distillery run by the Dormoy family for several generations. What to think of this Cœur de Canne 2 years? Delicious honeyed, vanilla, and spicy notes emanate from the glass. Flambéed banana reveals itself on the palate in all its indulgence, on a woody background of great elegance. The ideal rum for a moment of pleasure in the evening, comfortably settled, mind elsewhere... Source: the rum brotherhood

A good taste of sugarcane that ends with an oak note

Exceptional nose on the Ti’punch / palate drier, powerful and warms the throat well

S 7.6 out of 10, it's a good rum, though not exceptional.
