A very bold full bodied Agricole. Lots of wood like a darker cognac or vintage armagnac. Slight acidic tone. French oak. Tannins like a great red wine or sherry. Very thick on woody flavours. Spices. It fills your mouth, its complex but also very rounded. Probably one of the best and thickest Agricoles I ever had. For 125€ its an easy buy for such a complex rum.

Lovely release and I like the light citrus touch through the profile.

Edit: after buying a bottle and drinking the bottle, there's what I like in very old bielle, jammy fruit and a sweetness counterbalanced by fine oak and spices that may be more present than other bottlings, but I like it. What's more, the bottom of the bottle offers a smoky solvent side that adds depth. Delicious rum with remarkable balance! Makes you want to buy a bottle!

Beautiful nose, taste but overall it is a bit too bitter, peppery and too woody for me. In the finish comes some prune, bitter orange and mint but overall I prefer but more the slightly fruitier and sweeter bielles.

I like very much! Alcohol well integrated, nicely balanced. Very similar to the Rhum Rhum Liberation .

The juice is well balanced at the right degree to bring out all its aromas.

Bielle in its purest form and without many frills. I like, but does not qualify for the highest consecrations. Good choice for Bielle beginners and for relaxed Agricole sipping.

I don't know the farmers very well. This one is good. Fresh cane, woody rather balanced, the nutmeg which often bothers me on the agricoles is very light... After, it's not the rums I prefer but it's clearly a good rum.

Beautiful dark color and.a lovely nose reminding of cognac/armagnac. First impression: dominant wood, some stone fruits, alcohol pretty well incorporated with some pepper to it and a warm finish with bitter notes. After about two hours in the glass the fruit balances the wood a bit more but the latter stil takes the upper hand. The peppery note is still there but as prominent anymore. It’s a complex rum but I like my Bielles fruitier.

A Bielle premium that means double distillation (pot still and then column), close to the famous Liberation serie.Roasted aromas, fruity/citrusy, cinnamon/nutmeg and exotic wood's varnish on the nose. Same combo on the palate (roasted coffee beans, slightly burnt toffee), grapefruits and bitter oranges, something floral, sweet spices and the sugarcane for the vegetal backbone. All that being perfectly balanced. A faint fizziness on the tongue that keeps it fresh and lively for a medium-long to long finish where everything gently fade away.Delicious and dangerously drinkable!

Great rod. What a delight 😍

In the nose, a lot of alcohol, the bielle markers are very present. We have spices, leather, fruits, a light vanilla, a light mentholated floral side.In mouth we keep the bielle frame as in the nose, the alcohol is well integrated. We have spices and fruits compotés (always types oranges) which are there (the spices take the top). And the woody which comes coated that in a well balanced way. The finish, it arrives in power and is of average duration. It is very good, carried much more on the woody (bitter) with a light bottom of roundness / greediness.

👃: Alcohol then come the Bielle markers cook and spice mocha, vanilla a little orange and a little bit of a vegetal twist. Brown sugar at the end👄: Very good, it tastes bielle with watts. Maybe lacks a bit of roundness and sweetness. The wood is rough, the balance is not quite there.⌛ Mid-long finish on the rough wood. Conclusion: 80/100. Too much wood

Finish très présent, souffré. Fruit rouge noir. Super longueur. La touche bielle est là mais derrière V2 78.fût trop marqué, moins mon truc en ce moment
Review by Léo Delek
Impressive color with classic bielle markers, but softened by double distillation. Pruney, almost caramelized brown sugar (almost reminiscent of a molasses rum).
