The Wild Parrot DDL Guyana from PM Still 1999
Opinions land in the same middle ground here: a competent PM Demerara, but not the one to write home about. Expect licorice up front, orange peel, faint smoke and that classic metallic-medicinal edge, with a dry woody finish. A couple of tasters found it thin and short on complexity for a 22-year cask-strength; others liked its oily, toffee-leaning side.
The community says- Licorice and citrus
- Long woody finish
- But: Reads thin

Actually, the 99 vintage is one of my favorites among the PMs. This one is rather weak compared to the others, tastes a bit thin, clearly lacks complexity, at the same time there is a slight woody off note.

Typical PM profile. I lack a little the element of surprise that would justify the called price. Not a bad rum, but m.E. no highlight.

one of the most disappointing PM, especially when it comes to tropical aging. Whether it's a dark, heavy type, or a pure, sweet type, this one is incomplete, the thick, oily body is not necessary, but its flavor is too thin. Under the premise of lacking flavor, the only flavor left is not coherent.

A Guyana with a certain character, in which licorice and other interesting earthy and metallic notes play the main role, a bit of citrus, medicine and smoke. The price is too high in my opinion and the sample didn't entice me to seek out a bottle.

The color is pale yellow, almost transparent but not white.. The nose - mix mix of medicine and fruity citruses. The taste- complex with more layers- I feel something between licorice and menthol and mint. The some metal or medicinal flavors and back to the fruits again.

The smell is not strong. It smells of red orange peel, grapefruit and subtly of barrel and liquorice. The taste is aniseed, which is immediately overwhelmed by a pinching taste of liquorice and pepper. The finish is woody
