A sweet and fruity aroma, slightly grassy, weakly alcoholic. The taste is lightly alcoholic, fruity and fresh, slightly oily, pleasant. The aftertaste is rather short.

Definitely a good mixer base for some cocktails that work with both white and brown rum.

I’m not impressed. I’ve expected more of a rum based on sugar cane juice distilled in a pot still. The flavors shows up late and especially during the quite short finish. It’s rather sweet, probably some added sugar, with some spiciness and some floral notes.

Bottle Market Bremen October 2024. To finish a Ron Aldea from the Canaries. Not a really good rum. Nose is quite sweet, vanilla and caramel can be detected here. On the palate also a bit too sweet.

A young Agricole from La Palma. Compared to the other rums from Aldea, this is probably the worst. If you buy it in Spain, the price is quite okay.

Read full review →It's a definite easy sipper, some may say it would make a good starter rum. I wouldn't as it's just bland and inoffensive. As a mixer it does okay it makes a so-so rum and coke but it doesn't have anywhere near enough character to make me want to use...
