Grays New Grove Old Tradition 5
Apricot and peach jump out of the glass first, backed by soft caramel, vanilla and a dry, woody finish with a hint of dark chocolate. At 40% it's an easy, fruit-forward Mauritius rum that several tasters call a fair-priced entry point. The catch most reviewers agree on: the palate turns a bit watery, and the sweetness you smell mostly fades once you sip.

Aggregated from 38 community reviews.
Easy fruity Mauritius rum, a touch watery Well-liked as an affordable, fruity Mauritius starter with a pleasant apricot nose. Most agree the palate reads thin and watery, and a couple more percent ABV would help.

#5087 Saturday 24.01.2025 - 26.01.2025 A nice weekend in my sisters summerhouse with old friends and colleagues tasting a lot of rums. I can only recommend like we did, no phones allowed and then only music in the background 😊 Colour Medium dark. Nose Wood, light roasted, apricot, light dried fruit, light caramel, faint orange, sweet. Palate Light sweet, wood, light roasted, light caramel, apricot, cinnamon, faint salt, fruits. Finish Medium long, wood, fruits, raisin, faint chocolate, light caramel. Empty glass Light orange, light chocolate, wood, light rubber, light peach.

A very nice rum with a good price. It was very nice to sip. The tasting notes are alot more muted than on the 10 year old. All in all a very nice drinking rum.

Nice natural vanilla custard finish. Find it good. Only a few percent more would be desirable here

Trotzdem authentischer Rum.
