Review by Tafia Guildive
Bourbon fans are in the right place here, the profile is very similar to a fruity, round and delicious bourbon. It has probably been re-casked, which is indicated not only by the strong bourbon influence but also by the noticeable but not unpleasant wood and its influence. The alcohol is perfectly integrated, correctly dosed and after around 60 minutes of aeration, the profile unfolds in a very appealing way. This rum is not overly complex, but very well nuanced and rather elegant and subtle. Those looking for strong ester bombs will find little to like about this profile, but anyone who appreciates noticeable bourbon notes a la Foursquares or expressive rums with a "Spanish" impression will certainly like this rum. For me, it's an excellent rum and clearly undervalued by many, certainly also due to the current fashion of not appreciating the Spanish style too much and finding it boring. 89 points for me, as a bourbon lover a wonderful experience.

A very nice ten cane, better than the one from CDI I'd say. Fruity from nose to finish with spices and a delfining roasted barrel without it being too much. A touch of rubber and solvents are also there.

Very good. Beautiful complexity. Perfectly integrated alcohol. I haven't tasted enough ten cane to be able to compare, but it's much better 😍☺️

A solid fruity rum from trinidad. Wood and alcohol is integrated very well. But this one doesn’t knocks my socks off… Nose: Rubber, Trop. fruits, overripe fruits, plum, berries, banana, caramel, woody, roasted, clove, vanilla Mouth: Rubber, Solvents, dry, complex, balanced, caramel, trop. fruits, overripe, plum, banana, oak(barrel), licorice, cardamom, dark chocolate, roasted, toasted, vanilla Finish: Medium, dry, delicious, fruits, oak(barrel), roasted, toasted, licorice, coffee

I didn’t take any notes at the Rhum Fest so a more detailed review will follow as soon as I get the chance to sample this rum again in a better context.

Nez plutôt boisé et sucré. Caoutchouc. Fruit. Une note rôtie ou torréfiée. Sensation qui se confirmenen bouche. Je ne lui ai sûrement pas donné assez de temps mais il m'a paru manquer de complexité.

Incredibly beautiful nose of sour cherry -red wine jelly, cinnamon and many other wintry spices, some burnt rubber and wood and charcoal grilled banana.Taste with lots of tannins, roasted flavors, prune, strong coffee, dark chocolate and a few sour berries with ginger, lemon zest

Côté fruits rouges intéressant.. Cependant je ne trouve pas l'alcool super intégré.. Et ça manque de complexité.. Après j'ai pas goûté énormément de rhums trinidad mais pas mon préféré

I don't know that much Ten Cane so far, but he's not really exciting.
Review by TheRhumhoe
A rum that gives an impression of unfinished business. The nose is somewhat timid, and despite some pleasant menthol and rubbery notes, the fruit and spice are rather subdued. The nose lacks depth and strength. The same applies to the palate. Apart from a few additional phenolic notes (alcohol and solvents in particular), the palate struggles to reveal itself and convince. The few spicy and empyreumatic touches don't raise the bar. Length on the palate is short-lived, sketchy and simplistic. A few hints of prunes, tannins and spicy notes lift the finish, without transcending the palate. A rum that needs some aeration, but remains disappointing overall.
