Discovered by chance that a local gin distillery in my neighboring town also sources Guyana rum from the Diamond distillery and stores it themselves. Crazy! According to the manufacturer, this rum was stored in stone for a short time. I have no idea what that does, but this rum has little profile and is more suitable for mixing. The notes are all only weakly present, sweet, thin and sharp in the mouth, but not much happens flavor-wise except an unpleasant rubber note. Surprising to me, as this rum was awarded a Gold Award.

Honeydew melon, some coconut and candied ginger, a bit of grapefruit peel and honey on the nose... taste-wise then soft and balanced with honeydew melon and subtle coconut. But the finish is somewhat gummy, bitter and strangely syrupy sweet. Seems to be due to the 7g sugar dosage. I don't understand why you'd sweeten a white rum... it doesn't perform well in a daiquiri either and feels a bit bodiless.

Unfortunately quite nondescript on the nose. Some fruit, a bit of rubber. Overall surprisingly weak for what Heimat usually does. The taste unfortunately stays like that. Hint of coconut and fruit, some rubber and a strange sweetness. Shame - fun for mixing, but again too expensive for that. Shame.

This rum is so-so. I actually expected worse judging by the reviews. I can't really describe exactly what this rum tastes like. You can taste the alcohol quite clearly, otherwise hardly any notes. Suitable for mixing.
