Durch Zufall entdeckt, dass eine lokale Gin-Brennerei in meinem Nachbarort auch Guyana-Rum von der Diamond-Destillerie bezieht und selbst lagert. Verrückt! Dieser Rum wurde laut Hersteller in kurzer Zeit in Stein gelagert. Ich habe keine Ahnung was das bewirkt, aber dieser Rum hat nicht viel Profil und eignet sich eher zum Mischen. Die Noten sind allesamt nur schwach vorhanden, im Mund süß, dünn und scharf, aber geschmacklich passiert nicht viel außer eine unangenehme Gumminote. Verwunderlich für mich, da dieser Rum mit Gold-Award ausgezeichnet wurde.

Honigmelone, etwas Kokos und kandierter Ingwer, etwas Grapefruitschale und Honig an der Nase... geschmacklich dann weich und ausgewogen nach Honigmelone und dezent Kokosnuss. im Abgang aber auch etwas gummiartig und bitter und seltsam sirupartig süß. scheint wohl an den 7g dosage Zucker liegen. ich verstehe nicht warum man einen weißen Rum noch süßen muss... im daiquiri macht er auch keine sonderlich gute Figur und ist etwas Körperlos.

In der Nase leider ziemlich nichtssagend. Etwas Frucht, ein bisschen Gummi. Insgesamt überraschend schwach für das was Heimat sonst so macht. Geschmacklich bleibt es leider so. Hauch Kokos und Frucht, etwas Gummi und eine seltsame Süße. Schade - zum Mixen spaßig, aber dafür auch wieder zu teuer. Schade.

Geht so dieser Rum. Hatte eigentlich mit schlimmeren gerechnet den Bewertungen nach zu urteilen. Kann eigentlich gar nicht so genau beschreiben, wonach dieser Rum schmeckt. Den Alkohol schmeckt man recht deutlich raus, ansonsten kaum Noten. Zum mixen geeignet.
