Enmore fans and anyone curious about the wooden-still REV mark will feel at home here. It smells of dried plum, leather, coffee and licorice, with dark chocolate and mokka on the palate. Dry, woody and complex, with red-fruit notes cutting through. At 46.2% a few tasters wish it hit harder, but most find the alcohol beautifully integrated for a 27-year-old.

Note: Employment at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement with evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. Nose: slightly medicinal, lots of wood, some licorice, blackcurrant, blackberry, fruit bread, a bit of mint, & floral coffee, grapefruit peel, very complex and concentrated, a lot of fun to smell!! Taste: bitter, strong, woody, iodine & licorice, astringent, tannins, furry, slightly sour, strong mocha, dark blackberries, some lavender, dark chocolate >90%, at the very end thick and intense blackcurrant + blackberry with a bit of mint lingers! very awesome, not too bitter or woody, very well balanced! And an almost eternal finish despite the relatively low alcohol content. :) I even find it almost better than the successor with higher % from Bellamy's! Extremely elegant!

Burnt caramel, leather, wood and unfortunately sooo much water. The taste is too light for me... Enmore - drive distillery, now only a functional distillation device. Probably the only wooden distillation device in the world that enjoys great popularity. Enmore rums have a taste of ash, leather, heavy wood, which especially excites lovers of smoky whiskies. And if the producer adds a bit of molasses to the rum in the traditional Guyanese way, you have a unique, very strong and heavy rum in the bottle. One of my favorites.

Very intense nose with lots of prunes and licorice. Extremely tasty Enmore on the palate! Very dry, little fruit. The reduced drinking strength is perfect. Very round and balanced. A perfect introduction to the world of REV.

Wonderful Bellamy bottling! I really like it! Despite the reduced drinking strength, still extremely complex and surprising. Of course, some complexity is lost here. Very smooth and well-balanced.

Convinces with a very approachable REV aroma profile featuring all the expected notes: rich dried plum, balanced wood aromas, elegant leather, dark spices leaning towards licorice, and pleasantly fresh fruit notes of red berries. Alcohol is very well integrated. A very successful release.

Compared to other ‘94 REVs the nose is somewhat lighter but feels also more balanced and round. I get figs and some persistent glue notes. Also: Teriakyi Sauce and herbs. On the palate it also feels a little lighter, but again balances fruits versus herbs rather nicely. Most bitter finish of the batch, however.

Very good, tasty with some notes of liquorice/mint Enmore REV. Pleasant to drink. Leather, Tobacco, black tea, wood, dried fruits, some notes of grapefruit and schnaps in the nose. Complex and very delicious in mouth, where you‘ll find all the tastes from before. Furthermore you will notice some nice notes of mint, coffe and liquorice. Finish is medium long, dry and very elegant. I really like this a lot! Alcohol is integrated very well. On one level with the RA 2020, -1 point because of the schnaps taste which i don‘t like it much. 2nd place of my enmore tasting!"

Because of the low alcohol strength I was cautious but already the nose shows strong with red fruits from a green forest in which you can smell the resin of the trees. On the palate, a fruity REV with pleasant wood notes and some mocha. The finish is then supplemented by black tea and delicious fruit bread, among other things.

Blind tasting. Oh wow, the nose is amazing. Candied prune, old barrel, caramelized sugar, a resinous side. It reminds me of a REV Versailles. On the palate, prune and burnt sugar, which confirm my impression. The alcohol is smooth, super pleasant. A very good Guyana.

When this rum was released the price to quality was extremely good. It's hard to find now because of the limited amount of bottles. The nose is there as soon as you pour it into the glass. Very fruity with heavy roasted oak notes without the oak being too dominant. A very intense nose that also has floral and coffee notes after resting. The palate is equally intense as well as complex and very well balanced. The roasted oak is there from the start, again without being too intense. There's a very nice fruity note with floral and minty notes. In the back i find a medicinal note. The finish is very long and also intense in a way with oak, fruits and licorice. I can detect a light smoke in the finish. A very good rum that you should give a try if possible.

Super ingenious nose, easy to fall in love with and for me right up there with the 94 REVs. Very intense on the palate despite the low ABV. In addition to many roasted and spicy aromas, it also has a subtle fruitiness (dried plum). Edit: 2nd tasting (blind). Nose still very good. Unfortunately very thin on the palate compared to the competition, both in terms of taste and mouthfeel. Somehow lacks power. Strange. Must deduct a few points.

The two 94 Enmores from Bellamy's Reserve in direct comparison (thanks Gunnar for the cool split) Both are very fine and testify to a good choice of cask. 10530 with the lower revolutions is quicker on the nose and also smells a little more buttery at the beginning. On the palate, however, it lacks a little power behind the flavor. RX12549 takes longer on the nose but is more present on the palate. I see the 12549 in the lead.

Incredibly awesome on the nose, nicely intense and complex, dried fruits (prune), coffee, leather, and wood (oak?) On the palate also very nicely complex and intense, elegantly smooth. Dried fruits, chocolate, coffee. This awesome black tea note pairs with a light but pleasant bitterness and a slight mint note towards the finish. Excellent rum! Fantastic!!!

Wow, this rum is complex. On the nose (compared to the palate) it's a bit restrained with lots of dried plum, wood, leather, coffee, and roasted notes. On the palate, it really comes alive with additional black tea, plenty of licorice, strong mocha, and some bitter notes. The finish is similar and long-lasting. Low alcohol, but very well integrated!

A wonderfully balanced aroma of leather, coffee, licorice, and dried plum comes through. Truly magnificent. On the palate, dark chocolate, cocoa, and mocha join in. Also dreamy. The finish is rather short due to the reduced ABV. Overall, an outstanding product that is complex and intense despite the lower ABV.

Beautifully complex, intense, elegantly smooth. Dried fruit, chocolate, coffee. This great black tea note is paired with a light but pleasant bitterness and a light mint note. For me, it lacks a little steam, it's a little too light.

Very complex, not too many roasted notes, but lots of aromas of dried and red fruits. The alcohol is perfectly integrated and the 46.2% ABV definitely doesn't feel too thin. Especially nice is the slightly roasted finish combined with the fruit notes.

Smell and taste very chocolaty. Also woody notes in the smell. Taste-wise then some fruit and lots of leather as well as licorice. In my opinion, the finish could be longer. Overall definitely a recommendation, even though a higher alcohol content would have been nice here...
