Rhum from Martinique (St James, which you can quite easily recognize by the nose). It's rather pleasant to smell. On the palate, I expected more roundness with its stay in the pineau des Charentes cask. It's rather lively, borderline astringent on the first sip. Then it softens gradually to leave a quite pleasant finish, I'd say orange peel and light woodiness.

Nose quite closed and the aromas on the palate very spicy. Burning finish with an imbalance and a woody astringency not very pleasant.
