Not at the level of the 1st batch for a long time. But still a great Everyday Spanish Easy-Sipper with depth and sweet wood flavors. Excellent for newcomers and is also always great with my guests.For barrel strength warriors certainly not the right rum.

A mon goût c'est moyen donc moins de 60. Bien trop réduit acqueux et en plus sur du caramel torréfié, ce que je n'aime pas.

Compared to the 23 year old, more fruit on the finish. Very balanced. No real edges, but very delicate. Smoothe story, almost reminds me of a Flibuste.

Typisches Profil der Makasare-Releases. Ein Ticken mehr Ausgewogenheit vielleicht dank der höheren Maturität - die Unterschiede bewegen sich aber im marginalen Bereich. Erneut Karamell, Vanille, Schokolade, Milchkaffee, Holz und Gewürze. Sehr süss, insgesamt zugänglich, aber ohne besondere Komplexität.
