One taster called it a "powerful and spicy Foursquare," and that fits: fresh glue on the nose that fades on the palate, then an unexpected full sweetness that settles into pepper, cinnamon and warm oak. Pineapple, toffee and a bit of coconut round it out. A few note it leans a touch column-forward and one-dimensional next to other Foursquare bottlings, but most enjoy the long, spicy finish.

Last one for today. This time a Foursquare from the Transcontinental Line. I like it very much anyway. On the nose we have wood, as well as tropical fruits and vanilla. On the palate, a round of pepper comes in :-)

A very powerful and spicy Foursquare from Barbados. The nose reveals a fresh, glue-like and spicy note. On the palate, you are quickly surprised by an unexpected, full sweetness which then fades into spiciness and a pleasant warmth. The gum note from the nose almost completely disappears. The tropical fruitiness nicely underlines these aromas. The finish is long, spicy, and hints of papaya linger until the end. An extremely affordable rum.

Inviting nose but unfortunately rather disappointing on the palate. Feels slightly watered down but not in a good way, more burning, bitter and at the same time quite sweet. Definitely not worth 180€. A shame, there surely was more potential to be had from the cask.

08.12.2018 Had a wonderful meet up with old and new friends at this wonderful hotel. Notes. Medium dark colour. Nose: fresh, light wood, fruity, pineapple, light coconut, caramel. Palate: round, wood, spice, medium dry, fruity, caramel, banana. Finish: medium long, medium dry, wood, light caramel, chocolate. The guy bringing this bottle didn't want to tell us where he got it from.

The 55.2% are incredibly well integrated, pleasantly floral nose, I think I detect jasmine. But I'm also sitting on the terrace right now and there are lots of flowers. Great rum that lingers long and pleasantly

Compared to the other Foursquare ECS bottlings, in my opinion it can't keep up. Still I find it very good for a Foursquare, since no crazy prices are asked for it.

Barbados 2005 Foursquare Distillery Transcontinental Rum Line #26 Distilled: 2005 Bottled: 2018 Aged 13 Years 55.2% Matured for 11 Years in Ex-Bourbon Casks in Barbados + 23 Months in Ex-Rum Casks in Europe Molasses Rum Color: Copper Smell: At first I smell pineapple. Sweet, heavy and aromatic with scents of orange and toffee. Also pepper, cinnamon, tobacco, leather and a bit of coconut. Taste: Relatively light in the mouth, sweet, then a bit spicy. When swallowing then spicy-peppery. On the second sip I taste toffee, chocolate and tobacco. Also spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and pepper). Weak
