Candied apricot and orange up front, then it swings spicy and peppery before a dry, roasted, slightly metallic finish. This 2007 Beenleigh-era Australian pours fruit-forward with caramel, chocolate and young oak underneath. Several tasters call it a proper daily sipper — the 58.2% is mostly well tucked in — though a few note the finish runs short and it doesn't leave a lasting mark.

Very nice fruity tones of grape, pear, and apricot peel. Balanced roasted aromas. Overall a successful Australian. The taste strongly reminds of brandy/cognac. I give a very clear recommendation to try.

Tropical-bitter, a bit sour. Not the first thing you think of with Australia. Compared to many other Australians currently popping up everywhere, rather at the back of the pack. Doesn't taste bad, but somehow nothing special either.

Australia Advent calendar by Artur: the typical Australian spicy-roasty note for me appears here only in the aftertaste in a really clear form. On the palate still pleasantly fruity-sweet, apricot, orange, citrus fruits. Wood, spice, vanilla. Balanced but with pleasant complexity.

Arturs Advent calendar Australia 2025. Now came a pretty good rum first. Vanilla on the nose, also lots of fruit, especially orange/orange peel. The fruits remain on the palate, but here we also have wood and caramel.

On the nose a true fruit bomb!!! And light esters! On the palate first a candied fruit mix of apricot/orange that quickly switches to a spicy peppery side... the finish is metallic dry and traces of dried fruit! A rum for everyday... the alcohol is well integrated

I got this bottle for free alongside a larger oder of bottles. Thinking about the price tag you get a lot for your money actually. They really know how to make rum in Australia and this is another good single cask. Light fruit and wood mixed with some caramel and chocolate.

Small Australia 2007 Tasting. The Ra with a strong pear note, alcohol relatively well integrated, the RC very intense, but alcohol very clearly noticeable. The TRC is uncharted territory for me, a somewhat herbal nose, interesting but also somehow unround, strangely burnt on the palate (what happened here?) and the alcohol is also clearly perceptible at the back despite "only 58.2%". Overall, this is the clear number three in the comparison

Australia Advent Calendar 2025 (8). An expressive nose with vegetal and fermented notes, citrus, and a scent like candied fruits. Also some spices with a slight green pepper. The first sip is a bit sharp, but the aromas come through immediately. Still that candied fruit, citrus, and pepper side with fresh and vegetal notes. Tasty and balanced, you almost feel like you're at TDL. The finish is rather short but balanced. The young woods provide support. A great discovery, this rum!

Artur's Australian Advent Calendar #8: Similarity to yesterday's Beenleigh with lots of caramel, wood and dried fruits, but weaker from nose to finish, so I expect it is slightly diluted. On the palate also some chocolate

On the nose citrus fruits and quince, and all kinds of spices like vanilla and allspice. The palate reminds of fruit brandy, the finish fruity, dry and toasty. Good round Australian.

Tried as a 2cl sample. My first Australian and I have to say I like it very much. Very fruity nose with apple, pear, lime. These notes I had not found in any other rum before, very pleasantly surprised. Taste is quite different from what the nose suggests. Lots of burnt wood, a brief moment of peach, caramel and afterwards chocolate on the finish. Alcohol could be integrated a little better, but it doesn't disturb the taste. 60€/0.5l (as of 17/02/2022) for 14 years of aging seems a very justified, fair price to me.

Really nice! This is much darker in notes with spices and more wood than other 2007 beenleigh. This has some nice sweet aromas that carry this rum nicely. Good alcohol integration and nice aftermath. Try it
