"The nose is as grassy as it gets" — one taster nails it. This is unaged Neisson agricole at a serious 70%, all fresh sugarcane, lime, and green vegetal notes (celery, olives, even a briny edge). Boooooom, that was my first reaction to bthe the nose and palate. This is the best whit rum ever and a hard one to beat, period. The nose really shines through after resting for 15 minutes. A clean and clear Agricole nose with citrus and earthy/grassy notes. Some floral notes there as well. The palate is warm, intense and dry with vegetal/grassy notes and fruit. The finish is sharp and warm with lemon and copper. I did start without adding water and it stands pretty well without it. I did end up adding a few drops to reduce the sharpness.

Alcohol is already present, but integrated ok. All in all, a nice white Agricole with green notes of olives and vegetables, as well as beautiful fruit. But to be honest, I can't understand the extremely good ratings.

One of the best unaged agricole I ever drank. The abv makes it a rum not for everyone, but if you're able to sip it, it will reward you with mint freshness, sugarcane and lime traits, an oily body and a long lasting finish

Crass stuff! The nose starts fresh with lime, sugar cane and also a little with freshly cut vegetables (celery?)!In the mouth then very intense, I have not experienced anything like this in an unaged rum. The alcohol is present but does not interfere. The notes from the nose are joined by a slight bitterness that goes super with the sweetness of the sugar cane.The finish fades fairly quickly with a distinct grassy note in the foreground. This is by far the "dollste" unaged rum that I know and with a very fair price! Access, enjoy pure or as a banger in any mixer!

Nose: lime, vegetable, coconut, sweet Taste: sweet, veggies, grassy, earthy,coconut Finish: long, grassy, lime, metallic. Intense, would have never thought a white rum could be this intriguing. The 70 abv feels like 55% … great stuff. will probably always have 1 of these in my bar.

I have to say that I’m impressed since I usually dislike vegetal rhum. This is one of the first vegetal agricoles that I actually liked, probably because it isn’t grassy. In addition there is a lot of citrus fruit in the nose and mouth as well as a lovely sweetness.

A remarkably elegant cane with a well-typed and interesting tram. Indeed, it's an aromatic palette that changes, I've never had these flavors in a rum before, this one really has its own identity. It starts with a super candied cane, quite vegetal (Artichokes / Herbs / Salad / Green peppers / Cucumber) with a rather reasonable freshness on some citrus (Lime / Grapefruit). There is a nice sweetness that blends with mild spices (Cinnamon / Nutmeg / Mild pepper) which is very pleasant. This column still is also slightly milky and coppery which gives a good texture. An excellent column still.

Interesting about this rum is that its nose only develops after a few minutes. Then it is really fresh. Wow... What a taste. Despite the high alcohol content really very fine to drink. Long pleasant fruity finish. A really wonderful rum.

A very good white Agricole, another one of them from my tasting Collection. All the required flags are there, the Alcohol is intense but not overpowerering (why do they make some of those rumms at 50% I wonder). The finish is quite long, and has even a hint of wood which I find astounding, as this has not been in any barrel, I believe. Very strange, but nice. I swear, I had no other rum that day...

Wow, that's a rum to my taste. It may still taste a little alcoholic, but otherwise it has a fresh note. It tastes a lot like lemon, but you can't really say anything against it.

Probably the best 70%+ or BDC I've tasted so far! From start to finish, a pure farmhouse of warm cane, citrus and vegetal notes, with superb intensity, virtually no alcohol and a lovely milky texture. Superb!

This rum with 70° knocks you out... must be diluted. If you like citrus fruits, you'll love this. Before diluting with water, it somehow smells like dairy products like yogurt. Slightly diluted then intensely like lime. However, white rums are not quite my wavelength, so I find it hard to give more than 8/10 here.

Wow that is really dangerous tasty with its 70 ABV. Nose dominates a little lime I find also not yet so concise but what then comes to taste on the palate is just insanely intense. Since then a Ti Punch is also enough, although you no longer need much lime is already sufficiently there. Simply devilishly good stuff! But for that the evening is then short. 😉

An impressive rum. A fresh and unctuous cane. An alcohol present but not disturbing. The finish is very long and less to my taste. Always a pleasure to taste it again but it is not an everyday rum because of the high alcohol content.

Floral, flowery, yellow fruits. Nicely integrated 70%. In the mouth, the alcohol robs the taste buds. Extreme citrus notes. Long, warm finish. Slightly spicy, clean citrus notes. Top quality white rum. High craftsmanship.

Olive, olive, olive…the bartender set this on the counter and if I was blind folder I would have thought he set a jar of olives in front of me, it is that pungent. The rum drinks below its 70 proof but still packs a lot of punch. I could see this being a great component in a savory cocktail

Il s'agit d'un excellent Neisson ! Il est même compararable au Neisson 2004 de 12 ans dont j'ai eu une bouteille . C'est le même genre de rhum mais qui lui n'a pas veilli dans un tonneau en bois . On ressent la même canne onctueuse avec ses belles notes végetales : mielleuses sans être trop sucrée pour autant . Pur l'alcool pique juste un peu la langue . Coupé en un simple cocktail le goût d'alcool n'apparait presque plus . Seule son intensité ! Par contre : grâce au 70 % on ressent une montée rapide et intense ! Climb-up ! 😶🌫️ J'ai vu Mme Neisson parlé des rhums Esprit et de leur fabrication . Apparemment , ils goûtent ce qui sort de leur veil alambic , chaque jour différent , et seul le meilleur qui leur convient devient : " l'Esprit " . C'est ce rhum qu'elle boit glacé pour en faire ressortir son intensité . Dans " l'Esprit " vit encore la tradition des Antilles française : un vrai Bonheur . . . ☺️ P.S: j'ai regardé les photos de toutes les dégustations ici . La plupart sont seulement des photos d'échantillons mais de nombreuses photos sont d'autres bouteilles . Donc , ils ont noté ici d'autres bouteilles l'Esprit distillées sur d'autres années . Leurs notes devraient donc être reportées sur d'autres bouteilles présentes ailleurs sur RumX . Car même si la bouteille reste la même , le bandeau AB et la couleur du gouleau change . Quand à ma dégustation : il s'agit de la première version avec de la cire rouge sur le gouleau . Sur ce numéro , RumX dirigeajt vers cette bouteille alors en stock chez spirit academy ...

This is smooth, well integrated and easily sipped despite the ABV, though it has a lot of heat in it. On the nose I get lots of citrus (lime/ grapefruit) and fresh herbal and floral notes. On the palate the first sip is intensely warm. It progresses to reveal the same citrus notes plus a sweetness, grassy, black tea and olive flavours. It’s a long hot finish of limes and olive. Fantastic and complex rum which is very well priced. It does ask and need attention, so maybe more of an experience rum which could also make a killer daiquiri than a casual everyday sipper.

An incredible surprise served to us from the refrigerator at the distillery. An incredibly fresh nose, fruity, sugar cane and citrus notes, grassy. Taste very mild, great sugar cane and citrus. Long finish with herbal and citrus notes. Awesome stuff. Alcohol very well integrated!

A very intense and aromatic rum, both on the nose and palate. Rich, but not as extreme as you might think from the 70% alcohol, which is perfectly integrated. It can be drunk neat with no problem, if you are already used to high alcohol contents

An excellent rum that deserves to breathe, to open up so it doesn't burn you and releases its flavors... so you go from a very green, very fresh sugar cane rum full of alcohol to the same thing soaked with sugar and sunshine. And that finish is so surprising!!!!! Excellent!

What a distillate! This has to be one of the best unaged Agricoles available. Beautiful nose and palate with fresh, citrus, grassy and floral notes. Surprisingly sippable despite the high ABV of 70%. Price to quality is awesome. Highly recommended.

Grassy, fresh, pepper, and olive oil. It’s like Neisson blanc tuned up to 11. Which to me means it is as perfect in unagedbcane juice as I’ve ever had. Also reveals a fruitiness to the juice which isn’t present in the standard blanc

Just a great, powerful Rhum Agricole that all rum fans should give a try. It’s Vegetal, Apple, brine, earthy and grassy. Palate introduces citrus notes and lime with the earthy/grassy notes typically found in agricole rhums. Notes of pepper on the finish. Hides proof well.
