Despite the fierce black bottle, what's inside is gentle to the point of quiet: lots of vanilla and caramel, a whiff of orange, and a light toasted-sugar sweetness. Members find it soft and balanced but thin, with a short finish and little depth. One taster caught a bitter note on the way out. Easy sipping, but it reads more like a sweet spiced-style pour than a rum to dig into.

A very soft spiced. Caramel and vanilla. Less unpleasant than several spiced full of cinnamon and sugar. It remains, as often, an industrial preparation too sweet made for novice palates.

It's not a bad discovery because I didn't know it at all, and I was lucky to win the sample in a contest. It's soft and balanced, but really lacks depth, intensity. The finish is quite short.

Surprisingly good rum. Smells very sweet with notes of orange and vanilla. Tastes strongly of caramel. Very short, slightly sharp finish. It's okay for the price but not a highlight.
