Plantation Jamaica 1994 Clarendon MMW Conquête 65,4%, 354 bouteilles : J'aurais pensé le nez un peu plus agressif, mais il est fin et subtil, de l'orange et de la rose. Après 45 minutes d'aération, il se révèle plus puissant et plus épicé. En bouche, l'attaque est forcément franche, mais - je me suis surpris à faire wow dans ma tête - il y a tout de suite une vague goudronnée et mentholée. Et ça, j'aime beaucoup. J'avais un petit à priori, je pensais être déçu à ce tarif, je ne dis pas que le tarif est justifié, mais je suis agréablement surpris, c'est vraiment bon. C'est aussi bien huileux, l'alcool est bien intégré, les 65,4% passent bien. Le finale est logiquement longue et suave, mais on a vite envie de se refaire une petite gorgée. Plantation confirme encore une fois qu'ils ont de très bons MMW.

varied, complex, great alcoholic integration. It does control the acidity, so does bring out the flavor. contains enough flavor, and the alcohol is very weak for this abv, it's well controlled, and the finish is particularly nice, very long. After a long time in the glass, the layers of aroma become more clear and rich, showing strong spice and floral notes. The brown/slightly burnt sugar is wonderful. similar to '84 mmw(s). It's better to add a few drops to get this greediness. A relatively light, bouncy for 65.4% abv.

Nice selection from LMDW. Quite funky rum with loads of fruits very well balanced with some round notes of caramel, vanilla and chocolate. Great rum !

Er geht sehr in Richtung 1995er Jahrgang mit der typischen Mentholnote. Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden!

Velmi zajímavý rum, nezvyklá Jamajka jak ve vůni (med, květiny), tak v chuti (mentol). Určitě vyzkoušejte vzorek.

Wow, this rum is fun. Lots of tropical fruit, menthol and glue. Pleasantly astringent on the palate with very well integrated alcohol. I like it very much!

Surprisingly round and almost sweet! Alcohol is perfectly integrated and the finish is almost eternal.here neat menthol and glue meets tropical, strongly fermented fruit, plus some grape jelly, dark chocolate and candied spicy ginger. the so typical for so old clafendons meaty umami note is also present but here fortunately rather in the background. This one is fun and I really like it! I would definitely prefer the 95 RA Clarendon.

Anfangs in der Nase kaum Aromen, nur leichte Alkoholausdünstungen. Später, nach 30 min, hat sich die Alkoholpräsenz verflüchtigt, es bleibt der warme Geruch eines lange gelagerten Rums in der Nase. Am Gaumen dann zunächst nicht überzeugend, zu bitter, (für mich) zu wenig Menthol, Alkohol zu aufdringlich. Und auch hier wieder erst nach 30 min runder und zugänglicher werdend, wie die beruhigende, warme Hand des Großvaters auf dem Babybauch. Kann fast zu den 1995er Clarendons aufschließen. Aber auch nur fast. Trotzdem eine sehr gute Abfüllung.

Great bottling with the almost typical menthol note, which brings depth to the otherwise of fruit esters, wood influence, spice, vanilla and subtle caramel sweetness marked flavor profile. In direct comparison with the 95 Clarendon but clearly in the rear, because the alcohol here most clearly appears.

Die Nase gefällt mir noch am Besten, schön fruchtig mit Menthol und Klebstoff. Am Gaumen dominiert mir das Fass zu sehr, die klassischen Facetten des Clarendon sind noch vorhanden, können sich aber nicht wirklich gegen den Fasseinfluss durchsetzen! Der Alkohol ist zudem sehr präsent und benötigt viel Zeit im Glas

Alt, schwer, kräftig. Würde eventuell besser mit weniger % und 2 Jahre weniger Lagerung daher kommen. Auch das Cognac Finish wirkt unnötig.
