Very horny Long Pond. The tropical maturation is again clearly perceptible here. (I like it very much) Nice fruity but special nose. Wonderfully full-bodied and fruity in the mouth . Alcohol barely noticeable. Great!!!

Awesome shit! Wouldn't have thought that so much of the stce White, which I also find mega, would still be left in the barrel after 10y+. Really nice fruity, artificial ester monster ♥️😅 I actually like the 57% one a tick better and has a bit more to offer in terms of complexity and is more drinkable. Overall, however, they are on a par!

A Long Pond bottled by Velier with all the expected qualities. The nose is highly refined and expressive, with exotic fruit, citrus and medicinal notes at first approach. A hint of leather, spice and smoky oak underpin the olfactory profile, which is very appealing. The attack on the palate is as appetizing as it is delicious. A fruity explosion fills the nostrils with banana, pineapple, passion fruit, lime and red fruits, all in a basket of glue, nail polish and solvents. Oak, sweet spices, leather and marzipan round out this terribly tasty profile. The alcohol is superbly well integrated. The finish is of decent length, initially assaulted by spices (ginger, chili), oak and leather. Fruit and phenolic notes follow, giving a full, silky, beautifully rounded profile. A Long Pond that aficionados could drink like whey.

Super nice Long Pond, which is really tasty. For me, Ester strikes the perfect balance between salivation and fruitiness. Super rum

So it's good. A good tropical LP. But definitely not playing in the really high league.

Un sans faute, pas une claque mais un bon Long Pond

Great Long Pond, even if it doesn't match the first 2005 HV release. Great sweet and sour fruit notes paired with caramel and wood sweetness.

Tasted together with the three Cambridge STCE. I like it very much. Similarly fruity as the 13-year-old 2005 Cambridge, but with an additional note. Sour cherry, as mentioned by some tasters, could fit. Pleasant sweetness and spice. Hardly any wood influence. Very drinkable.

8,8:On the nose, esters, glue and rubber with pineapple and peaches, roasted wood notes like caramel and pastry, spice like vanilla, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, it becomes vegetal, grassy, floral, slightly metallic, more balanced with fruits like passion fruit, dried apricot and sour cherry, pairing oaky tones, leather and cocoa. 8,9:On the palate, the attack is delicious, slightly acidic with esters, overripe tropical fruits as banana, pineapple, mango, then red fruits with strawberry, sour cherry, lime and later apricot, the wood is roasted with toffee, pastry, spicy and salty, the molasses is vegetal, grassy and flowery. 8,8:The finish is long, dry, buttery with roasted wood notes, spices like vanilla, ginger and anise, pairing tons of tropical, red fruits and currants...

An excellent LP... this is exactly mine... heavy, intense, present to every flavor fiber... almost reminds me of the TECC... Too bad I didn't get a bottle of this!

A slightly extreme side that will please fans of the genre.

Sehr ausgeglichener und vollmundiger LP. Im vergleich zum 2010 viel weniger holz und fruchtnoten. Esternoten eher im Hintergrund aber trotzdem präsent. Wild und mit ecken und kanten.

Part of my STCE tasting tonight. I like how the sweet and sourness meets vanilla and caramel with some cocoa behind it. Not overly complex or intense, but thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks Tobias for sharing a sample.
