Sipped neat, this is Foursquare in its classic groove: coconut, caramel and vanilla up front, then dark chocolate, cinnamon and licorice with a woody, spicy tail. At 61% the alcohol is remarkably well tucked in — several tasters call it round and buttery with real depth. One member rates it their best FS ever. Now this is a proper Foursquare, the price is still up there, but nonetheless a good rum. The nose is fruity and woody with spices, leather, chocolate and light herbal notes. The palate is complex and well balanced with wood, fruit, spices, licorice, caramel and light vegetal notes. The finish is long with wood, caramel, vanilla and orange.

A very tasty Foursquare. We find the classic Barbados register, with notes of tropical fruits, coconut, caramel, wood and sweet spices, with notes of glue and herbs in complement. The palate is buttery, very pastry-like, with notes of crème brûlée, caramel and chocolate. Aromas of cherry and orange peel mingle with the spicy framework. The finish continues on the same framework with a great length. A complex, balanced, elegant, very tasty and very greedy Foursquare.

Hampden from Elliott is one of my very favorites and it will probably be the same with Foursquare. A wide range of aromas from classic caramel-woody tones through fruit to herbs and leather. The taste is beautifully round, complex with notes of licorice, caramel, wood, and orange. The integration of alcohol is perfect and the finish is long and enchanting.

Sehr schicker Foursquare mit toller, vielschichtiger Nase. Ich rieche zunächst Kokosnuss, Holz, Vanille, Zimt, Karamell und Nüsse. Dann kommen tropische Früchte, Kirschen, andere fruchtige Anklänge, Gewürze und Eiche hinzu. Am Gaumen entfaltet er durch die 61% die volle Kraft. Dunkle Schokolade, Vanille, Zimt, Lakritze, Kokosnuss und Holz werden von gebranntem Zucker, Karamell, Eiche und Röstaromen begleitet. Anteile eines Demerara-Profils schwingen definitiv mit. Der mittellange bis lange Abgang ist ebenso kräftig und komplex wie der Gaumen und bietet wieder schöne Fassnoten. Danke an @Tim für das leckere Sample 😀

Toller Foursquare mit einer sehr sehr intensiven Nase nach fruchtiger Kokosnuss, Kirsch, Karamell, Eichenholz, Gewürzen (Zimt/Vanille) und Röstaromen. Mund und Abgang ähnlich, wobei definitiv auf der würzigen Seite mit trockenem und würzigem Gefühl. Abgang etwas zu kurz, sonst 9/10.

Wunderschöne runde Foursquare , Nasse ist komplexe und rund keine harte kanten, fruchtig, Holzig, gewürzt, gereifte Früchte, Karamell, bißchen rostig und Holzig. Am Gaumen ist hervorragend lecker, rund, ölig, gute balanciert zwischen fruchtig und gewürzt- Holzig. Alkohol gut integriert. In Abgang Noten nach geröstete Holz, Karamell und Kaffee.
