What can I say about this mix...it amazed me! You can feel the vegetal part of the vaval and there are the "dirty" scents characteristic of casimir joined by the sherry cask which gives it a nice fruity and buttery note! A really successful experiment!

Chamomile tea meets green apple and is accompanied by fruit bread. Herbal tea notes linger in the taste, served on an oak board. Plus more fruit bread and dried apricot. A honey note is added in the finish. Very interesting rum.

#4568 21.01.2024 Having a go at a few more samples. Very nice rum especially when looking at the price upon release. A bit more specific notes. Nose Light wood, very fruity, light glue and marzipan, medium vegetal note. Palate Well balanced, light wood, fruity, spicy, light vegetal, nice herbal note. Finish Medium long, medium dry, fruity. There is a faint sugarcane note in the profile.

This old clairin has not lost all its markers which are balanced with the roundness of the sherry, the finish is too short but it remains a real good product.

בקבוק האיטי אחת המעצמות רום היום בעיניי החנונים. קלארין כבר נהיה סגנון מוכר ואהוב בעיני המון אנשים. הבקבוק הזה משתלב מצויין עם חבית האולורוסו. לא אגיד שציפיתי ליותר כי בכל זאת מדובר במשהו בן 4 אבל אני חייב לציין שהחולשה שלו היא מורכבות שקצת חסרה. פירות, קצת לקה, קקאו ושוקולד, ירוק. הוצאה טוב מאוד והפוטנציאל בשמיים

A nice surprise! A clairin that takes a completely different turn with this sherry. A nice complexity, roundness, slightly spicy and roasted notes thanks to the sherry. We keep nevertheless this floral side of the clairin with licorice and relatively young fruits. A rather long finish without being interminable. A good value for money in my opinion!

Wow, I really like the sherry finish here. The freshness of the Clairins finds a wonderfully balanced counterpart in the heavy and sweet fruit notes from the sherry cask. Successful bottling!

Day 5 of the Samples de Luxe calendarA Jamaican nose but not really, tropical fruits, funky and varnish.In the mouth the alcohol is well present, not super well integrated. It lets the fruits slowly come up. The finish is not so long, there is still some wood. Empty glass, not a lot of hidden aromas.I would have bet on a much older rum. The ageing has made this clairin a bit of a boilerplate and it has clearly lost its wild vivacity.

Nez très gourmand sur les fruits tropicaux, la pâte d'amande, le vin cuit et la vanille. Letout sublimé par quelques notes de colle et un léger menthol après ouverture. En bouche on garde les mêmes notes mais plus épicé avec l'arrivée de la cardamome. On sent également le boisé. Finale sur les epices le bois et après quelques minutes de la réglisse. Très bon clairin bien adoucit par le fût olorosso.

Beaucoup plus de douceur pour celui ci vs le vieux Sajous mais il est aussi plus gourmand. Longueur en bouche très courte cependant. Agréable à boire
