Antoniazzi Jamaica Rum 1950s
Artificial strawberry bubblegum and cool menthol hit first — several tasters compare the nose to spearmint chewing gum or After Eight without the chocolate. Underneath sits old wood, ash and tea. It's a genuine oddity: an old-style Jamaican that tastes nothing like modern island rum. Plenty love the strangeness; a few find the synthetic, dusty side off-putting and can't decide what they drank.
- Unusual character
- Loads of flavor
- Menthol-strawberry nose

How does Antoniazzi Jamaica Rum 1950s taste?
Aggregated from 14 community reviews.
Wild strawberry-menthol oddity, very synthetic A polarizing curiosity. Most find the strawberry-menthol-bubblegum profile fascinating and full of flavor, but the plastic, synthetic edge leaves some unsure whether they actually enjoy it.

22.09.1989 Café Baxx, Kolding which is no more. Notes Fresh, light, light wood, faint smoke, medicinal, apple, floral. Palate Fresh, light wood, floral, light chocolate, fruity, citrus, light nutts, medium dry. Finish medium long, medium dry, light wood, orange, light chocolate. 4.0 stars of 5.0 which should amount to 8.0 on today's rating. Extra note Surprising good quality for a low price, 20 DKK for 2 cl.

Menthol, Kaffee, Erdbeere, Vanille, Tee. Krasse Mischung!

Interessantester Rum des Raritätentastings. An der Nase Menthol, Erdbeere, BumBum-Eis, künstliche Aromen. Am ehesten Richtung Savanna zuordbar. Am Gaumen dann eine andere Richtung. Schweres Holz, Aschenbecher, Teer, Kamillentee.

Erinnert sehr an After Eight ohne die Schokolade. Also dann wirklich After Eight.

This one is crazy stuff. Strong artificial strawberry notes on the nose and the palate as well. This is destinctly outstanding from current Jamaican rums.
