Owners keep saying the same thing: a shame the bottle's nearly empty. This is a 14-year Trinidad column-still rum with a heavy Madeira presence — think prune, pecan, milk chocolate and maple syrup, with a real sweet-wine edge running through it. At 57.9% it burns neat, so most add a few drops of water. The alcohol's well integrated for the proof.

grenade. liquid pecan nut and plum crumble with maple syrup and dark chocolate chips to drink 🤤🤤🤤🤙🏼 mega nice inherent sweetness and extremely well integrated alcohol. An absolute bargain at the RRP of ~50€ at the time!

This is a very limited bottle and almost hard to find unless you go to auction. The madeira Cask shines through in this beautiful rum. First destilled by the famous Angostura Destillery and then aged 13 years in the Caribbean. The transported to Germany wjmgere it was finished in madeira barrel for another year. You may want to add a frew drops of water because the proof really burns if you don't.

A tasty rum that offers a colorful mix of aromas and especially surprises me with its rusty-chocolate notes on the palate. The Madeira finish is very present, even more in the nose than on the palate, which leaves me with mixed feelings as I am generally not a fan of finishes, although I find this one more successful than most others. This rum probably appeals mainly to lovers of sweeter rum, but it rightly has its fans.

Angostura does some nice things when bottled undiluted or at least at high %% alcohol. The sweet Madeira cask fits very well with the rum in my opinion; it has become relatively sweet because of it but also very accessible. The slightly sweet notes are a bit too pronounced for my palate, still a very well-made rum with well-integrated alcohol. Conclusion: Too bad it's almost empty.

Pleasant, but for my taste unfortunately a bit too sweet - the sweet wine notes are a bit too dominant for me. Still not an uninteresting rum, it will surely find its fans.
