06.09.2025 Retasting with 5 of the local guys and I really like it a lot. -------------- A very good Bielle indeed. The nose just races at you once poured and the fruits are there with wood, menthol and polish. After resting i get a hint of marzipan. The palate is wonderfully fruity with wood and menthol and at the end i get a whif of licorice. The finish is long and lightly bitter with wood and oranges.

Have some few favorits (Savanna, Bellevue and most Haiti) We are not fans of this one. Sorry for the low rating, but we really don’t like it. Nice to be challenged and to try something different

A woody Bielle, on citrus, nutmeg, spicy spices. On the palate, it's light. Fruit. Vanilla. Cane too. And a slight sensation of licorice. Right in line with what Bielle knows how to produce. Edit: new tasting and the nose is really very pleasant. A solvent sensation that didn't appear to me initially. Lots of spices. Really typical. Really successful.

A lovely, well-crafted and harmonious Bielle. The nose is honeyed, with a hint of marzipan, woody, toasty and spicy notes, and aromas of yellow fruit and raisin alongside sugarcane and tobacco. Aromatic and warm. The attack on the palate recalls spicy wood, vanilla and licorice on one side, and fruit, notably grapes, dried fruit and yellow fruit on the other. Flavors of cognac and bourbon add further roundness to an already ample, gourmet palate. The alcohol is well integrated. The rather long finish lets roasted, woody, slightly vanilla and licorice scents escape before delivering a hint of freshness with citrus notes. All in all, a very good rum, but one whose price may put some people off.

Ripe wood, vanilla, dried fruits, honey, spices, and fresh sugarcane blend harmoniously without any note dominating. It feels balanced and elegant, develops new facets with some time, and stays present for a long time. A high-quality, characterful Agricole.

Yes, I find this Agricole really great. On the nose we have mostly wood, but also some spice and barrel. On the palate then also mostly wood, oak and barrel, also some vanilla. In any case very tasty.

A pretty weak Bielle. The profile is clearly the distillery's One, with Sugarcane that adds to wood, fruits and also some floral echoes. The palate is barrel driven, with some bourbon-ey notes and a fresh side that adds to wood and roasted nuts, and to the sugarcane

The nose is very much focused on dried fruit and glue. The nose is bewitching, with a lovely freshness and spices galore. Bielle's distinctive licorice note is present, but less so than usual. The nose is carried by a sweet, honeyed concentration. A magical nose. On the palate, despite the 45%, it's soft but intense in flavor. The woodiness is delicately present. Fruity and pleasant. There's a lovely lingering vanilla-gloss finish. It's very harmonious and a worthy representative of what good, fine agricultural rums from the French West Indies are all about.

A very good and classic rum. Nose of coffee, evolving into vanilla after some airing time. Same on the palate, very indulgent with a beautiful explosion of flavors while staying classic, coffee, vanilla, licorice, and a long finish on coffee. A very good rum, for me it just lacks a bit of originality. 2025: better, very good rich and flattering nose, very round very soft, indulgent on cooked fruits. Indulgent palate, alcohol very well integrated, lots of licorice, spices not overpowering, a bit of vanilla. Good length on the same tone as the palate. All very well balanced.

Very very good but i rate the 2014 brut de fut higher just because it's more intense and less expensive. If this one would have a higher abv it would be very hard to choose i think

Agricole meeting and tasting with Kevin in Blåvand, Denmark. Great color, leaves very oily streaks in the glass. Comes across very intense on the nose, fruity aromas with barrel, grassy influences and hints of honey in the back - very tasty. This is largely reflected on the palate, but it needs time to develop. Then vanilla and woody aromas join in and it feels very well done, I find the price possibly too high, 120€ would be justified in my opinion.

Very good for an agricole. Very delicate rum with a millimeter-precise feel. Agricole nose with fruit, spices. The palate is good with a freshness, a slight woodiness and a buttery impression that wraps it all up. Decent finish. Fineness from start to finish.

Mild, warm, very harmonious Agricole. Let it sit for a bit, then it opens up noticeably. Everything is very smooth, without edges or corners. Poured again and waited 30 minutes. That definitely does him good! Everything becomes fuller. Very fine Bielle for the weekend!! 😇

Tento rum je destilován z čerstvé šťávy z cukrové třtiny, což mu propůjčuje svěží a přirozený charakter. Vůně je bohatá, s dominantními tóny dřeva, medu a cukrové třtiny. Výrazně se projevují citrusové akcenty, zejména pomerančová kůra, doplněná ovocnými tóny a vanilkou. Nádech muškátového oříšku dodává jemnou kořenitost. As far as I remember that’s my first Bielle. My wife tasted and said it’s like metal sweet wooden stick. I really like the nose - there is vanilla, yellow fruits and wood. On the palete there is a lot of different things in each sip. I recognize wood, grapes which goes in warm dry ending with fresh herbs and lemons in behind.

A fine drop that shows the time spent in the barrel. It is very smooth and balanced. You should let it breathe a little. In my opinion, a few more percent of alcohol would do it good. But overall, a great Agricole. Thanks Rene for the sample

10 years of barrel aging, a nose of dried fruits, spicy and powerful on the palate, a pleasant and intoxicating harmony, this old rum is a must. Awarded at the Paris Agricultural Competition in 2022 (gold medal).

A classic from Bielle, all the typical markers are present, a bit woody, spicy with vanilla, sugar cane, candied fruits, the jammy side, honey and a hint of red fruits very pleasant and original for once, with a very nice length.

Nose Quite spicy with an immediately soft start. Ripe fruits join the spices; yellow plum, apricot, grey pepper, a bit of red apple, some curry and cumin. A nice vanilla and cream caramel side in the background. Nutmeg and plenty of cinnamon added. Estery notes felt underneath. A slight orangey back note. Caramel reaches a completely different level, intensity-wise, over time. Nice mangos. Lots of coconut. Nice, but I wonder how much complexity is lost to dilution? 85 Palate Proper medium body on the palate. Tropical fruits open up; ripe mangos and pineapples. Extraordinary liquid caramel, caramel candies, vanilla beans and coconut milk. Even coconut mochi. Medium sweetness. Slight red apple. Spices much further back. Cinnamon sticks are the most obvious. Burnt milk; the top layer of rice pudding. With a bit of airing, dark forest fruits like blackberries come from behind. More complex than the nose but dilution is felt. Balanced and enjoyable. 85 Finish Coconut and vanilla explode even more. A side like a rice pudding or cream caramel made with coconut and milk. Slight grey pepper added to cinnamon to raise the spiciness again. A finish with medium-low intensity and medium or slightly below medium length. Floral notes between lily and lemon balm. That cream caramel sweetness accompanies all the way to the end. Slightly cooked pear and citrus in the very back. Enjoyable, dynamic but a bit short finish. 85 Overall impression The rum itself is enjoyable but the main issue is pricing. It's a shame to dilute and sell a rum that has undergone tropical aging for so many years, so naturally it delivers a performance that doesn't justify its price. Since the balance is in place, I can't deduct too many points but I wish a more craft approach had been taken. 83 Total: 84.5 Price-performance: Medium-Low, Low. Would I buy it again?: If it were cheaper, or (most likely) had a craft presentation, I might consider it, but unfortunately as is.
