Tasted as a 5cl sample. My first Belize. On the nose initially ne massive wall of coconut, which hides everything else. With time, this swings more towards tropical slightly acidic fruits, esp. pineapple. Later, spicy/woody notes are added. Reminiscent of Barbados with ner extra portion of fruit. On the palate then a very nice sweetness, but more towards honey instead of sugar. In addition, there is a nice fruity note and nice dark flavors of cocoa and dark chocolate, which change in the finish to slightly burnt caramel.Through that despite the usual profile is much to discover I would classify him somewhere in the middle between easy sipper and exciting complexity. I like it very much. I'm looking forward to tasting the 16y TRC Belize.

Incredibly horny nose of passion fruit honey, kumquat jam and honey with banana bread or also taste the whole thing continues, is extremely sweet and at no point too woody but very fruity with beautiful notes of orange peel, honey, candied fruit, candied ginger, bitter sweet kumquats, banana bread and honey. This one is fun!

A very nice rum. Tasted it side by side with the 13 year old Panama (61.8%) by CdI. It was a close battle but the Panama was just a bit rounder (and maybe a tiny bit sweeter)

Avg Rating 8.0/10 over 250 Rums

Travellers is the rum that put Belize on the map. It began in 1953 as a bar in Belize City, grew into a family distillery under the Perdomo name, and today is synonymous with Belize rum. Its molasses spirit comes off a hurricane-proofed column still in three different marques, and a deep stock of aged casks has made it a quiet favourite of independent bottlers around the world.
