Caramel and vanilla lead here, soft and sweet, with a little dried fruit and spice underneath. At 38% it's gentle and easy, but several tasters found it flat — one called it "decent chilled," another thought the sweetness "drowns out" the rest. I thought this rum was ok, rather sweet and not much complexity. It has a very sweet caramel and vanilla profile that drowns out much other flavor. A fine pour but nothing that stands out from other DR rums.

A nice, smooth rum with vanilla and caramel. A bit too thin. But otherwise nicely balanced and suitable for easy drinking. The great thing is that it's often offered at bargain prices, even at discount stores during sales.
