Getting a sample of this rum was pretty hard. I would have loved a bottle again because it's a great one. The nose is woody with fruits, herbs and spice trailed by tobacco and a light medicinal note. The palate is very well balanced with lighter wood than the nose, fruit and herbs trailed by anise and licorice and a very light tarry note. The finish is medium to long with light wood, herbs, raisin and light tar.

Typical Versailles profile, superbly balanced, yet complex. Slightly smoky whisky notes on the finish. Even if I'm not so keen on the beginning, a great rum!
