#6514 20.03.2026 Part two of todays evening tasting with a few friends. Today the music is a bit different because not all like my Trance and Psy Trance, so we have settled on some EDM and hits from the 80s. This is a nice bottling and at release the price was really good. The nose is light with pear, herbs, mango and light dried fruit. The palate is oily and spicy with fruits, spice and a light sour touch. the finish is long, spicy and oily with fruits, light herbs and spice.

A fairly light rum with a profile softened by the wine. The nose is carried by the sweetness of dried and candied fruits and honey. The palate remains on this vanilla, candied, and caramelized sweetness, extending this lovely thread. The finish remains just as sweet, although a bit short. An interesting and accessible finish that shows HSE's know-how in finishes.

Very pastry-like nose: vanilla, honey, candied fruits... with a hint of wood. The nose is very promising. Maybe a bit too much because on the palate it's less round, more on dried fruits and dry white wine. And above all, it's short, there is not really any length. The nose was more seductive than the palate. Which tends to be frustrating because that's what you remember in the end.

On the nose burnt sugar, tobacco, leather, red fruits, wood. On the palate quite dry, but at the same time full-bodied, with soft woody notes, tobacco and an aftertaste of candied raisins, beeswax, along with a distant tannic/sour note that doesn't disturb and indeed recalls Sauternes. In the empty glass wood and fermented notes.
