Nez très pâtissier : vanille, miel, fruits confis...avec une pointe de boisé. Le nez est très prometteur. Peut être un peu trop car en bouche c’est moins rond, on est plus sur les fruits secs et le vin blanc sec. Et surtout c’est court, il n’y a pas vraiment de longueur. Le nez aura été plus séducteur que la bouche. Ce qui a tendance à être frustrant car c’est ce qu’on en retient au final.

Un rhum assez léger au profil adouci par le vin. Le nez se laisse porter par la douceur des fruits secs et confits et le miel. La bouche reste sur cette douceur vanillée, confite et caramélisée, prolongeant cette jolie trame. La finale reste tout aussi douce, quoique un peu courte. Une finition intéressante et accessible qui montre le savoir-faire d’HSE sur les finitions.

Al naso zucchero bruciato, tabacco, cuoio, frutti rossi, legno. Al palato è abbastanza secco, ma allo stesso tempo corposo, con sentori legnosi morbidi, tabacco e un retrogusto di uvetta candita, cera d'api, insieme ad una nota tannica/aspra lontana che non disturba e ricorda appunto il Sauternes. Nel bicchiere vuoto legno e fermentati.
