Absolutes Brett mit einer Hammer UVP! Mega süffig! Unfassbar schöne Nase aus Vanillepudding, tropischem Obstsalat, mit vor allem Ananas und Honigmelone, Klebstoff und dazu etwas Sahnekaramell und Zitronenabrieb. Geschmacklich ebenfalls wahnsinnig lecker süß fruchtig nach Lemon Curd, Kaffeebohnen/cappuccino, Ananaschutney, tropischen Früchten und ordentlich Klebstoff. Das Ding macht richtig Spaß und der Alkohol ist absolut perfekt integriert! Scheiß auf die "Standard" great house Serie, this is the real shit going on! 🤣🤤🥂🇯🇲💥💣 Hätte ich wirklich gerne ne Flasche für besondere Anlässe von gehabt! Wahrscheinlich für mich einer der besten 2007er C<>H ! Diese fette Süße ist einfach der Hammer!

Hampden, the legendary Jamaican distillery that besides rum also produces alcohol for perfumes. In all rums from this distillery, you can sense wild esters, after which your whole body soaks up the scent of yellow tropical fruits - mango, papaya, pineapple, peach. One of the rums you "must try before you die".

Great 2007 HD Reminds me of the green 2020 Great House and in a positive sense. Lots of yellow fruit, lemon scent, ester is still within limits. Alcohol super integrated for the high %. Great PLV and beautiful bottle design. I'd love a bottle of this. In direct comparison with the sister version 66.9%, I like it much better.

A very expressive yet well-balanced nose, with a lactic, toffee-like ferment that softens the rather lively esters. On the palate, it's much less expressive, with the wood still present and a lactic edge. Then the aromas become more assertive, pineapple and esters. The finish is shorter than expected, on slightly bitter wood. I much preferred its brother, RX10462, for its overall complexity and delicious finish.

Very tasty... beautifully fruity and powerful... The full fruit basket paired with glue, marzipan and papaya. Simply awesome! PLV was also super fair here 👍 Unfortunately my stock is running low 😩 which makes me a little sad. In May Tai also a fruity grenade.

Second tasting: Lots of grilled pineapple, lots of cookie dough, lots of yogurt/butter. A strong 2007 Hampden (+0.1) Blind tasting #11 E(a)sterweeks 2022 I had mistaken it for the Kill Devils from the same year. Nice rum, great mark: straight Hampden, there's not much more to say!

The nose is typical with lots of esters, some glue, plenty of vanilla (-pudding), baking aroma, marzipan, and pineapple. On the palate, everything promised by the nose is found again. Overall quite a lot of vanilla and little fruit. I like it!

Great Hampden, has a lot of tropical fruit on the nose and palate, especially banana and pineapple. Esters are also recognizable, but not too pronounced. Also a bit sticky on the palate. Very tasty Hampden.

A high ester powerhouse with a wonderfully integrated alcohol content, lots of fermented fruit aromas and an unobtrusive but recognizable toasted wood entry. After initial astringency, a very pleasant, creamy and buttery mouthfeel develops in the mouth. Yummy!

#6004 29.11.2025 Warming up before the tasting at Whisky Watcher in Odense tonight. Nose Fresh, light wood, fruity, ester, light citrus, light rubber, anise, banana, faint glue. Palate Medium intense, oily, fresh, light wood, faint smoke, fruity, ester, pineapple, light rubber, light anise, light earthy. Finish Very long, medium intense, oily, fresh, light wood, fruity, ester, light banana, light citrus. Empty glass Banana, pineapple, light licorice, faint rubber, light marzipan. Needs to rest for a good while to really open up properly.

In the nose first A lot of esters, solvents and now that he stood long covered (I was asleep ðð¥±) also the tropical fruits come through in the nose. These were immediately very present on the palate, with plenty of time in the glass the whole is clearly spicier, I have a few herbs briefly some menthol and then a nice warm finish where the over 66 "v become noticeable but very pleasant if you stick to small sips.

Tasted against the Duchess (rx10462) and the Kill Devil (rx11490). Kill Devil is the winner for me, followed by 10462. Unfortunately, this one took last place. But really only relatively small differences.

Rich fruit esters of overripe pineapple, lime and mango. Heavy sweetness of toffee and lactose. Slight peppery notes. Anyone who likes the ester-heavy Hampden will find what they are looking for here - an ideal Hampden release without frills.

Day 11 in the RumX-Ester calendar, blind.Easy one - today there is Hampden and specifically C<>H, apart from DOK probably the most obvious mark of the distillery and at the same time one of my favorite marks. There is little to say about the bottling itself, C<>H in its purest form: tropical fruits, neat citrus vapor and thus also some acidity. This is perhaps the only ambiguous and thus remarkable thing about this bottling: the acidity is also very concise, especially on the nose, and could possibly lead you down the wrong paths if you sniff inattentively, even if you clearly stay in Jamaica. Comes for me not quite to the first Flensburg C<>H, which for me is the benchmark for continental and younger representatives of this mark, but clearly above his brother from the 10th GRF!

🎨 Vin blanc à or pâle. 👃 Esters puissants, une explosion d'ananas surmûris, de tarte aux ananas caramélisés, de meringue aux citrons jaunes, et verts, zestes, crème pâtissière gourmande. Un côté plus chimique sur de la colle de BTP, des solvants, produit carboné pétrolifère, eau de mer. La saumure d'olives vertes s'installe à mesure que le dram descend. 😋 Les esters mènent la danse (astringence, funk, épices) et pourtant je ressent une certaine douceur crémeuse de tarte à l'ananas et au citron vert, de pâtisseries de beurre et de caramel, c'est gourmand et savoureux à la fois. Excellente intégration de l'alcool malgré les watts. ⛳ Sensation trigéminale, chaude, vive, piquante, pimentée, sèche, astringente. Esters, ananas et banane surmûris, zeste, caramel, vanille cuite. 💡 Un joli Hampden continental savoureux, crémeux, estérisé, fruité. Je dois déguster son frère jumeau pour les comparer. Très intéressant ce millésime 2007 C<>H. J'ai une préférence pour le TWJ et le Swell Bar 1802 et le Flensburg.

Jamaican nose on pineapple and a lot of esters with a very surprising acidity. I think of lime or lemon zest. 66° in the mouth. It is warm, fruity, very concentrated. The finish is concentrated, dry, astringent and the bitterness takes over. It is not unpleasant for all that, a very powerful rum.

#10 RumXHighE(a)ster weeks: Blind tasting: I‘ll give the C<>H another try approx 20 years of aging approx. 60% Result: This profile is very clear. Very delicious C<>H. Fruity, glue, ester, full load of pineapple and a very good integrated barrel. The alcohol is integrated well. This is a good C<>H, but not on the top.

Very successful Hampden. The pineapple is smoky and delicious. The indulgence is present, the rum is buttery and smooth. A slight reduction could have made it more balanced.

A very nice Jamaican with great funk and ester notes that are not too overpowering. The rather high ABV of 66.1% is really well integrated, goes very pleasantly over the tongue with delicious fruity notes and slight hints of glue

Wow, there's a lot going on. It smells so deliciously of vanilla, pineapple and endless fruit. The typical funky ester notes are in full force. Definitely one of my top 5 hampdens. Every great house should taste like this.

Auch dieser Rum benötigt lange den Kontakt mit Luft. Dann entwickelt er am Gaumen sehr schöne Aromen nach Ananas, tropischen Füchten und High Ester Komponenten, die jedoch nie störend wirken. Im Abgang dominiert eine Zimt-Note, die sehr gut zu den anderen Aromen passt. Je länger man diesen Rum im Glas hat, desto beeindruckender ist seine Vielschichtigkeit. Mit richtg langem Kontakt zu Luft wird er zur reinen Frucht-Bombe, geschmacklich rund und richtig geil. Es ist erstaunlich wie under-rated dieser Rum hier ist.

Tasted at Spirits in the sky Brussels 2024. A very intense C<>H with some notes of creamy meringue to balance out the classic high ester Hampden notes. The alcohol was very well integrated.
