Albert Michler Distillery T.D.L Trinidad Rum CZ&SK 2002
Tropical fruit and that unmistakable TDL mint lead the way, wrapped in glue, light varnish and a whiff of medicinal "Trinidad dirt." Distilled in 2002 and bottled at a hefty 64.2%, it drinks softer than the number suggests — most tasters call it surprisingly approachable for the proof. Honey and light wood round it out. Fans of Trinidad column rum keep coming back to this one.

How does Albert Michler Distillery T.D.L Trinidad Rum CZ&SK 2002 taste?
Aggregated from 41 community reviews.
Fruity, minty Trinidad with a technical edge Well-liked across the board: a fruity, minty, faintly technical Trinidad that drinks gentler than its 64.2% hints. A couple of tasters find the nose harsh and alcoholic.

Finally I have sample and the whole bottle. Aroma is smooth and gently, consider to the higher ABV. Most dominant scents are tropical fruits and those technical scents. There is hint of sweet scent of honey with combination of wood. For me this taste is typical Trinidad. At first smooth and gently, after that I had tropical fruit/technical combo bomb in my mouth. Technical flavors are dominant (glue mostly) with combination of sharp/spicy flavor with a hint of sweet (honey) flavor and smoke. Finish is great not long or too strong but at the same time not short and not boring at all. Great rum, I need to open my bottle asap and try another sample with friends. Just try it.

Very fruity, very interesting. Maybe too pricey, but still think it's worth the trying.

The first sip ate my hair, but then it became clearer and the taste of fruit and rubber developed

👃 is very harsh for me even after sitting in for good 15-20 minutes. Mostly it is synthetic, alcohol, paint thinners and wood but somewhere in the distance there is vanilla and chocolate, typical angostura nose but this time kind of harsh and alcoholic. 👅 Is also kind of chemical, synthetic and surprisingly enough a little bit fruity and minty too. I like mint but it is not very prominent in this one. After some time the vegetal notes are coming up front in the long finish. There are some notes that remind me (for me) very bad scotch such as Johnie Walker Red Label and its malt and grain. This taste however is mixing up with the mint in the finish so it is not that bad but I am not a huge fan of this rum. I will retaste however maybe the taste will change after different meal.
