Burnt-sugar caramel, vanilla and a little cinnamon spice, all wrapped in a thick, syrupy sweetness. This is the richer, spiced cousin to the standard Captain — smoother when mixed, a touch harsh straight. A few tasters happily sip it slowly; more use it as the base for a rum and coke or a painkiller.

And then the last one :) I bought it as a sipper, really fitting for that. Clearly too sweet, but still quite okay. That's what I wished for when ordering via RumX. At least I got lucky here :)

This is my go to Rum if I want some Captain Morgan. Not my favorite to sip neat, but isn’t half bad over some ice. A bit harsh when straight, but really smooth when mixed. I do really enjoy this Rum in a simple Rum & Coke, or as a mixer. My favorite is to use this in a painkiller. I like this rum for the price point and will keep it stocked in my cabinet

Nothing special but not really bad. What uncomplicated to the party or evening without thinking and tasting procedure. For mixing certainly a good choice.

Nothing incredible, but not bad at all either. A nice sipper at a reasonable price, and also good for mixing if you want to make some “top shelf” cocktails. The caramel sweetness will disappear nicely into a cola or even a root beer.

Pretty sweet, as you might expect. There is some spice in here, maybe cinnamon or something. It's a lot less of a sugar dessert rum than the ordinary cheaper Captain Morgan's spiced but at the end of the day it's still a sugary spiced rum. I don't know why anybody would pay more for this one.
