8:On the nose it is fresh, fruity and a bit sharp in the beginning. Smokiness is present all the time. A very kind nose with tropical fruits, hints of mango, some coconut and stone fruits, caramel .A gentle layer of milk chocolate makes this feel like a summery fruit-chocolate pie. In the beginning there is a slight spiciness. 7,4:On the palate warmer and sweeter than the nose suggests, there’s more spice and some added fruits. Bananas, mangos and oranges. This combines well with the still-present milk chocolate and some caramel, iodine also, some ashes, camp fire, a pinch of salt. 7,3:The finish is smoky, with tropical fruits and a bit of a spiciness. The next one in the average rum category. Well, it's just a tad too sweet. We have vanilla, chocolate and caramel on the nose and palate. It is also relatively smoky on the palate.

A very spicy-smoky rum. Little to no natural sweetness present. Lots of dark rusty aromas like coffee or mocha with a bit of iodine flavor included. Won't be my rum but can well imagine that others will really like it.

A bit characterless, wouldn't have guessed Panama blind on the first try. It's quite sharp and shows only a few aromas, apart from young wood, which is prominent on the nose and palate, without really giving it any maturity.

With a short to medium finish, this is a sweet rum with a little bite to it. Leave to rest before trying, then most of the bite is gone. Fruity with a bit of caramel and a pinch of vanilla.

It’s young and a bit brash but I rather like it. The nose opens with sugar and caramel, alongside some sweeter tropical fruits. The mouth is a bit fiery, a bit spicy and with undertones of caramel followed by chilli. The finish a hint of smoke, more chilli and some whisky cask notes. It’s not my typical choice for rum but would happily go back for more. Young and fiery but sometimes that just works - interesting drop

Billy Walker try to make rum. Interesting ! Wait ... Nope ( Peated cask for Panama rum Nose: OK, it's very strange for rum. Iodine, peat, rubber, paint and alcoholic notes. Maybe, I repeat – maybe, you can found the fruity notes of banana & touch of vanilla. But, smoke dominate. Taste: Loooot of peat, like smoky whisky. After that, you filling sweetness of shugar. I hate it ! God bless, the're not so much. Vanilla, caramel, hint of coffee, maybe some dry fruits... Aftertaste: quite shortly... with caramel, smoky, coffee notes. Conclusion: OK, you can drink it, and it's very brave experiment, but result disappointing. Don't waste your time.

Better late than never: recording a tasting at the end of the bottle. Fit me this is an enjoyable and easy going sipping rum that is also great with coke. Fairly sweet with caramel and vanilla notes. Nothing too special but great value to my mind.

You definitely get the iodine and smoky notes from the peated cask finish on the nose. It dominates and it's hard to find much beyond. Clove and milk chocolate, perhaps. The palate follows from the nose but there's some tropical fruit and it's more earthy. The finish finally loses the iodine but the smoke still lingers. A hint of caramel. It's all a bit short though. It's different, something to try. Would I buy a full bottle of this. Maybe, but it would last a long time on the shelf.

A strong peat/burnt cask aroma, which definitely carries through on the taste. I’m not a scotch, whisky drinker, but from what my friends say, I think they would enjoy it. It reminds me of sitting by an outdoor fire pit when the smoke gets in your eyes and nose. Certainly an acquired taste, but I enjoyed it.
