This is a sample I just got and I have to admit it was a very nice meeting I had with it. The nose is fresh and fruity with light smoky wood and grass. As it rests the nose gets more clear and fruity. The palate is creamy with smoky wood, fruit and a hint of coffee. The finish is medium long with smoky wood, fruits and light coffee.

Fiji with typical notes of waxy honey, dirty smoke, tropical fruits... Unfortunately, no plastic here. What bothers me a bit is the alcohol on the nose. All in all, though, quite good and the price-to-enjoyment ratio is okay.

Then last night there was this Kingshaven. It actually surprised me. Really very woody and smoky, with tropical fruits on the nose. On the palate, coffee and espresso come through and it tastes really creamy.

After recently trying some rums from Fiji, I wanted to try this one too. Expectations weren't that high because of the current rating. But I have to say it positively surprised me. Considering I got it on sale, I find it more than good. Glad there was a bit left after the split.

Nice Fiji. Very woody but also with a lot of fruit. The alcohol strength is excellently chosen. Neither too strong nor weak. However, for the price, there are much better ones from the South Pacific distillery.

Definitely a very good rum! I wouldn't have guessed fiji blind because of the sherry finish. But overall a very nice, complex, harmonious rum!

The finishing in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask skillfully complements this Fiji rum with a delicious raisin sweetness and nutty aromas as well as a fine oak spiciness, without distorting it beyond recognition. The esters are somewhat calmer and no longer so prominent, but still clearly noticeable. I really like it!

This is not my favorite Fiji. I miss rubber and plastic, instead I have a bit too much wood. I also find the finish rather disturbing and the alcohol is not well integrated. I would be disappointed if I had bought a whole bottle.

I didn't expect much from this bottling beforehand and was positively surprised. Overall relatively complex and reminds me of a mix of a Chairman, Mhoba and TDL. Many dirty notes with plenty of caramel and slightly charred.

Delicious... a very successful Fiji ... with lots of fruit and esters on the nose, pleasant palate with fruit, light smoky wood, restrained spice and perfectly integrated alcohol. These flavors continue through the finish! Top!

Nose fruity sour like citrus fruits. But also lacquer and esters are present. In the mouth very smooth, fruity sweet with a nice sweet spice on the finish. You can especially notice the sherry finish in the aftertaste. I like it even though the middle is a bit "thin".

טעימה לא הפיגי הכי חזק בשוק גם המחיר לא טוב מספיק. הרבה רשמים קצת לא נעימים אולי מגיע מהחבית. המארק עצמו כנראה גם לא מהפרופילים הפאנקים, החמוצין של פיגי. מתוק. קצת מסריח. עץ. דבש. מממש מעט אסטרים. לא משהו שהייתי קונה.

Nose: Glue, rubber, orange, some wood, Brazil nut Palate: Glue, apple, ester, a couple of berries, salty, alcohol could be better integrated, a bit sharp at first, finish vanilla from the wood, not really my thing
