Delicious start in Savanna, but the herbal notes are unfortunately hidden a little too much behind the wood. When it stands a little, caramel comes through very strongly on the nose.

Une bonne entrée de gamme et des premiers bois jeunes plutôt sympa, c’est léger, c’est très très rond, aucune difficulté à boire. On a également quelques fruits jaunes ou agrumes, même si c’est le bois qui domine. Pas mal.

#5154 15.03.2025 Running a few samples at home. Nose Fresh, round, light, wood, roasted, light floral, light citrus, faint nutts. Palate Light oily, fresh, light, light wood, roasted, light nutts, faint mint, light citrus, light floral. Finish Medium long, fresh, round, light floral, faint chocolate, wood, light roasted. Empty glass Light chocolate, spice, light chocolate, light caramel, light dried fruit. Price to quality is very good.

The basic Reunionese rum from savanna. A young rum with pleasant woody and citrus notes. A simple, effective rum, easy to drink for an entry-level product. Excellent value for money.

Ein ebenfalls nicht so ausdrucksstarker junger Rum von Savanna, der einiges an Zitrusfrüchten, Kräutern und Gewürzen bieten kann, aber generell eher dünn daherkommt. Kann man auch zum Mixen nehmen, aber wahrscheinlich lohnt es sich nochmal mehr für den Metis zu investieren.

Holz, Kräuter und Vanille dominieren diesen Rum von Anfang bis Ende, sind jedoch in Nase, Gaumen und Abgang unterschiedlich vertreten. Der Alkohol ist in meinen Augen gut eingebunden, wobei ich es persönlich sowieso etwas stärker mag.

Dégustation faite lors du rhum fest Dégustation agréable et encore plus avec les explications de la distillerie. Je préfère le must et encore plus le straight. Mais il est agréable, doux et passe tout seul avec beaucoup de goût.

"Savanna is really an up and down one for me. The can do great, but there is the other side of sometimes utter mediocrity. I really think they are on to something here, eventhough i am not the intended audience. And to reach a level of for example hampden estate 46% this needs more. But hopefully we will get there!"
