Reassessment: compared to other Ten Cane not better: -5 points.Nose: I immediately feel reminded of the Duchess Ten Cane 11yo! That sour cherry note, wonderful! Unfortunately the alcohol is very present in the nose.Mouth: sour cherries again! then licorice and then with a sweet wave again fully ripe sour cherries and medicinal notes. I love this profile!Finish: continued but with emphasis on the bitter notes.A very good rum, unfortunately the alcohol is not quite as well integrated. I had noticed this with the Duchess as well. I will try it again later with a few drops of water. Ten Cane the Caroni for poor 😁

The nose is deep and offers exactly what I love about Ten Cane: it's berry - even more berry than the sister bottling, more like the first Duchess. The wood brings the typical cumin, plus grapefruit and a hint of tobacco. The alcohol is not too present despite 62.8% - in the mouth it then unfortunately makes itself felt with something too strong. The berry profile transfers well to the tongue, the fruit is a bit riper and drier. Cumin again, woody tannins bring some bitterness, plus a stimulating saltiness. The finish retains mostly the tart flavors of the tannins and lemon zest. Significantly darker and more powerful than the 60.3% version, more depth but alcohol and bitterness make the mouth more demanding. For me, therefore, on a level.

02-09.04.2022 This was crazy week, where some friends and I rented a nice summerhouse on Rømø. The plan was to go nuts for a whole week with different rums without going overboard. The final agreement came to 6 rums a day and then enjoy nice walks or ferry rides during the day. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, fruity, banana, light coconut, light nutts, faint coffee. Palate Balanced, wood, fruity, light licorice, light mint, dried fruit, light herbal, light coffee, nutts, faint tar. Finish Long and warm, roasted wood, faint mint, faint tar, light coffee, faint tannins, dried fruit.

For me, this is a classic Ten Cane that embodies everything I like about it! Classic red berries, sour cherry, spice, slightly toasty, approaches of dirtiness hnd enough power! Very tasty! If the flavors were a little more present, he could have won quite a few Phnkte

...it continues with the Ten Canes. The sister barrel of the CS No. 6 BTXCA (RX11074). It takes a bit for it to open up, but then comes what you know from other 2008s: red fruits, tobacco, caramel, barrel...and all in that pleasantly 'gruff' way. Toasted barrel, sour cherries and mocha on the palate. Without having compared directly, I would rank the Duchess bottlings a bit higher.

--- English: Ten Cane Romdeluxe Collectors Series is a premium rum celebrated for its refined aroma and rich flavor profile. The nosing - I smell wood and sour cherries. The taste is similar- wood red fruits (maybe currant), little spicy in the end. It has higher ABV, which I don’t appreciate…after some time in glass it’s better, but in the end I am not a fan of this rum. Of course I found minty tones

The classic aroma of dried fruit is a bit overpowered by the alcohol, which is also noticeable in the taste. Otherwise a rather bitter rum with extra wood. Just OK.
